The article about ending Violence against Children states that every day of our lives and in many forms, children tolerate acts of violence or are victims of violence, in and/or out of their homes. It stated that the lack of awareness of the issue is that causes many children to be a victim of violence. It is a huge concern for agencies that want to build the confidence of the violated children, but it is kind of difficult when children are unaware of the situation. March 10, 2015, ITVET compound, Belize City, the Youth Enhancement Services concluded a training workshop aimed at putting an end to violence against children; in particular sexual violence. Violence may be considered as, a behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something. From my personal experience and observations I can say that violence exists everywhere in our community. Violence does affect us in various ways, but it mostly affects the victims, since they are the one suffering undesirable behavior. From my knowledge, I can say that children that are violent is because they have no sort of education at home. It could be that their parents didn’t give them a proper foundation for them to stand strong and be a good person. On the other hand, children that are very respectful, tend to come from a humble home where proper education is instil in children. This topic does affect me and many others, since if we have a high rate of violence, then they tend to be a high rate of drug abuse and more people behaving or becoming gang members. Which is something bad for the community because people will no longer live in peace, then confidence will no longer exist.
The article stated above can very much be linked to Business communication and marketing. Business communication because I can see the initiative the Youth Development Service took to effectively communicate and train teachers and children about violence. From what I read, the message was transmitted across effectively, teachers gain more knowledge about the social issue and learned ways to deal with violence.
