From my knowledge, I can say that children that are violent is because they have no sort of education at home. It could be that their parents didn’t give them a proper foundation for them to stand strong and be a good person. On the other hand, children that are very respectful, tend to come from a humble home where proper education is instil in children. This topic does affect me and many others, since if we have a high rate of violence, then they tend to be a high rate of drug abuse and more people behaving or becoming gang members. Which is something bad for the community because people will no longer live in peace, then confidence will no longer exist.

Olga remembers her father saying “Dona Graciela didn’t want me anymore, so I should stop listening for her” (19). Children in sexually violent houses are made to feel like they won’t be loved by anyone else and because of their young age they are easily manipulated to believe they aren’t. Olga also describes the prostitution that her parents put her thought.

Violence isn't the way to achieve ones goals. Almost everyone has someone of something that stands in the way of their ultimate goal. Many people come to a point where they feel that the only way to achieve that goal is at the expensive of another. This isn't necessarily the case. Rather then inflicting violence on one another we must use the intelligence we were blessed with.
