1. Lack of the word of God!
2. Negative effects of physical and/or sexual abuse.
3. A desire to manipulate others.
4. Altered thinking due to substance abuse.
5. Hungry for attention-lacking love.
6. Violence in entertainment.
7. Exposure to actual violence.
8. Unable to cope with problems.
9. Dysfunctional family dynamics.
10. Easy access to deadly weapons.
11. Hatred of a certain group—prejudice.
12. Teens with low self-esteem.

Those inner-city teens live for today only, they don’t think about tomorrow; they couldn’t care less. They want everything now, today, even though it could cost them their lives. They are not afraid to die or to kill. They are very depressed and have a lot of anger in …show more content…

National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC) issued a report listing factors that could identify youth who might commit lethal violence in school. They look at some family factors such as a turbulent parent-child relationship, parents who are unable to recognize problems in their children, a lack of closeness, parents who set few or no limits on a child’s conduct, and children who are extremely private, leading a double life and thus hiding a part of their lives from their parents. Today, many children are victims of family breakups. Others have parents who have little time for them. Thousands of young ones have grown up with inadequate moral and family guidance. Some experts feel that “Such an environment may result in children not developing the ability to bond well with others, thus making it easier for them to commit crimes against fellow humans, often without remorse.” It seems like crime appears to be a permanent nightmare in American society and around the world, despite the efforts of law enforcement, criminal justice departments, social workers, and many more. Crime and violence are still affecting many American citizens in the United States of America and around the world. Is there really a solution to this problem? As I said before, in every race there are negative and positive people. That’s what makes the world go round. Even though that’s what makes the world go round, I would never choose to be a negative person. Such a choice would drive me to self-destruction. Being negative is living your life in the dark. (2 Peter 3:10-11) states: "Choosing the world with its pleasures will end in destruction." Deciding to serve the Lord with all your heart instead of going along with the course of the world is making a good and a wise choice (being positive). Having Jesus Christ as our companion brings us into the presence of a wise Counselor, who will protect and guide us in all decisions of life. So, dear reader, have you chosen Jesus as a companion yet? It’s essential that you make him your dearest and nearest companion, closer than anything or anyone else in this world. In order to do what’s right, you must surrender your life and confess all your sins to him. It’s imperative to choose a secret place, either at home or someplace else, to meditate and pray to Almighty God. This is the most blessed condition in which somebody can live in such a crazy world.
