As the world of technology moves forward the line between the physical world and the virtual world becomes blurry. Augmented which allows users to interact with both the physical and virtual world through devices like phones and mixed reality which allows users to interact with parts of both the physical world and virtual world at the same time are examples of this. They combine the attributes of the physical world while allowing the user to interact with non-physical objects in order to help the user complete tasks with more precision, accuracy, and speed.
The world is changing it is becoming more virtual, parts of this new virtual world and augmented reality and virtual reality. These two forms of combined reality allow users the chance to do things they may not have the opportunity to do otherwise. Using these technologies many businesses and companies have been able to enhance their user experience.
While augmented reality and virtual reality are similar they are not the same. Augmented reality is when users are seeing and interacting with the real world, however using technology there is digital contented adding to it. Mixed reality that starts with the real world is quite similar to augmented reality, however, the difference is that the user can interact with the digital content rather than just see it on their device. Mixed reality that starts with the virtual world is when virtual world completely takes over the physical world however the placement of the objects in the physical world correlate to the placement of the objects in the virtual world, meaning a user can believe that they are interacting with one thing while they are actually interacting with something
Pearl asked if he would stand with us on the scaffold tomorrow. He said no, sadly. Pearl then asked if he would hold our hands on the scaffold tomorrow and, again, he said no. As soon as we joined our hands, an “A” appeared in the sky! An A!

In the novel Rainbows End, author Vernor Vinge depicts a futuristic world that is almost completely dependent on digital technology. Taking place in the year 2025, this “Digital Age” is home to many innovative advancements. Digital technology has become so omnipresent in the world Vinge creates that it has found its way into all aspects of daily life. The idea of a virtual reality where people no longer have to rely on their imagination has now become a normal part of everyday life. Separation of church and state Separation of church and state is one of the many social issues debated in the country today. Similar to politics there are groups who dispute the topic, separatist who according to Merriam Webster is "a advocate of racial or cultural separation", and accommodationist who"favor or practice accommodation or compromise"(dictionary). Each group share's their own opinion on the mater, but both can agree that the matter is relevant. Separatist believe that the constitution gives the government no power over religion, while accommodationist believe that the constitution gives some but not all power for government to regulate certain aspects of religion.
In spite of the indifference, Virtual Reality has awoken the world in giant ways. Society should not stay doubtful of the countless possibilities it has to bring in an optimistic and technological way. Recently, in order to describe something that holds spirit and effect without having form, but having an effect on the actual, the word ‘virtual’ was used. Virtual reality is developing all the time and has found hitches not formerly considered. Applications of Virtual reality are starting to find their way into normal society.
In a world where the boundaries between real and un-real are often blurred we find that our realities often imitates the un-real more than the real. We are faced with a society where we are more in tune with the hyper real world. Hyper reality is defined as an inability off our consciousness to distinguish reality from a simulated reality, (Oxford dictionary, 2014) The concept of Hyperreality was defined by French sociologist Jean Baudrillard in his work Simulacra and Simulation, where he explored the relationship between Reality, Symbols and Society. Baudrillard states in his work that society has replaced all reality and meaning with symbols and signs and that human experience is a simulation of reality.
Science fiction has become increasingly popular over the past few years as new innovative technology has made it possible for films to become more realistic. Avatar, being one of the highest ranked sci-fi films to be made, is a clear example of how the film industry is on a fast moving track towards a new era of science fiction storytelling. James Cameron’s Avatar exercised all new forms of cinematographic tools in order to bring one’s imagination to real life. The first step after writing the script was to cast actors to each specific role.
What is augmented reality? It is a type of virtual reality which augments or supplements the physical environment with additional information generated by computers or in other worlds to bring the virtual world to the real one and combine them. The aim of augmented reality is to develop an experience where we cannot make a distinguish between the physical world and the virtual world.” Today’s world is an interactive one in which technology is used to discover and share information, and research is no longer limited to books and databases.” [1]So instead” augmented reality apps can help librarians answer reference questions, assist in instruction, and create a more interactive learning environment.

2.4 Experiential Architecture Sensorial Experiences While the importance of a sensory rich environment is obvious to most, in contemporary designs, attention to the senses is usually limited to sacred spaces. They are the receptors with which we move through and understand space.
