A large number of orchestrators and composers tour around the world playing his music and trying to mimic his musical studies. Mozart’s music was very gentle and subtle, and easy to listen to for long periods of time. There is still a lot of study going on about his music because it is believed that there is a thing called the “Mozart Effect”. This was to attract the audience into his message and it made them deeply experience the emotions that exist within the classical music. Zander, a great presenter, was very energetic on the stage that retained the audience’s attention. In his presentation, he usually includes body gestures such as hand gestures and nodding head, etc. several times, Zander walked into the audience and engaged with them. He also mentioned that only 3 percent of the population are classical music lover’s.
One important relationship between Theater/Dance and its audience is how the audience and the production must work together to make a great overall experience. Sometimes, Audiences aren’t that responsive to the show on stage and that can lead to a subpar performance by the actor/dancer because there is no energy being provided by the crowd. It’s a very unique dynamic that is shown regularly in the art forms of theater and dance, how the audience can play such an integral role for how the performance turns out. In the documentary Absolute Wilson, it was evident to me that the actors talked in a more ecstatic voice when talking about the performances of the plays done in Paris or in other special venues. It wasn’t just the fact that they were performing a spectacular piece it was also that they were excited to feed off the energy of the special venues.
Secular music becoming popular was also an effect of the Renaissance, as people became less invested in the church, due to a growing rise in movements like the Protestant Reformation. Sp, they became more invested in ideas outside of the church, such as poetry and
Most people today know the name Wolfgang Amadé Mozart and about his works as a composer. His melodies still remain prevalent in society from young children humming as they learn the alphabet, to professional orchestras performing his concertos in grand concert halls. His works remain in most standard lists of repertoire, from the piano to the clarinet. Although he died at the age of thirty-five, Mozart composed over six hundred works in every major genre. His work advanced the forms of those genres, most notably the concerto.
In conclusion, I have learned a lot about Mozart. I hope that people of this generation will continue to listen to his music. He was one of the greatest composers. His legacy still has a big effect on our modern lives, his music flows through our everyday lives through mediums like commercials, nursery rhymes and movies. I will continue to learn more about him and listen to his music and experience
Chorus: Sacramento Master Singers with American River College Chamber Choir. Dr. Ralph Hughes, Music Director. Folsom, California. I chose this one to write on because not many orchestras achieve the meaning of the music but this orchestra came very close to interpreting this beautiful and powerful piece of
Gustav was a English composer, arranger, and an teacher. He is best known for his orchestral suite The Planets. He composed a large number of other works across a range of genres, but no others achieved comparabe success. Bill T. Jones’s Still/Here is about the human feelings and they are expressed through high formal structures. I think this choreography is abstract and it focuses on the gestures that Jones’s is dancing to. One of the examples is when one of the dancers strikes up and uses a “game-playing” technique in the workshops. When the singer Odeta is heard on the tape she filters some selective texts from the workshop that the composer Frazelle has set into the art songs with a “spiritual” feeling. For most of classical dance lovers these songs have their own beauty and they can feel the movements and feeling about these dancers something I can not feel because I do not like these type of songs/dance but I can say that it gave me some type of idea about what was going on thanks to Jones’s when he was asking them what they were feeling even thought there was no music just movements but I was able to recognize some feelings.
However, filmmakers were not the only ones receiving attention. Playwriting and music composing also became a new sensation during this era. The most popular would have to be Eugene O’ Neill’s play, The Hairy Ape and George Gershwin’s music that merged classical with jazz. All of these aspects of entertainment
Before this I had never attended a classical concert, so this was a new experience for me. This concert was worthwhile because not only was it affordable, it was also great for the price. Each song made me feel different, I could sense the emotion coming from these songs and the way the musicians played together added a feeling of satisfactory altogether. The venue had a large impact on the performance. The Nightingale Concert Hall provided great acoustics for the performances and fit well with the overall style of the concert.
As people come and go from one place to another, they bring their customs with them. Soon enough their customs spread, such as dancing. Dancing is very different based on where it comes from. Africans came from many different places and then they settled in the United Kingdom. This particular group of people had a great impact on Britain, mostly on the dance culture of this country.
“A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots” - Marcus Garvey. The Harlem Renaissance was a period of time in which racial pride and culture were thrust away in favor of a more traditional style of art. However, during this time, racial pride was best expressed through folk art via the means of relatable structure, understandable word choice and everyday subject matter. Common poets of the time chose not to imitate the formal and restrictive style of the European influenced “high art” and instead believed in a more down-to-earth, conversational style of writing. In these choices, poets began to shape a new form of art called “folk art” that gave readers content inspired by daily life
