Not only by exposing them to the language they will speak, read and write the English language correctly, students must learn and understand the meaning of words. Vocabulary words help any English language learner communicate effectively with any other person. According to Wilkins (1972), “Vocabulary is central to English language teaching because, without sufficient vocabulary, students cannot understand others or express their own ideas.” On the other hand, many teachers recognize the importance of teaching vocabulary and they must emphasize it daily in their lessons. Among many skills, vocabulary in context is one of the most commonly used. To aid vocabulary in context, the use of a Card-file among other strategies may enrich the student’s experience and understanding of what they speak, read, and
“You can’t see other people’s point of view when you have only one language,” declared psycholinguist, Frank Smith. Just as it is mentioned in this quote, foreign language is important; therefore, people should learn a foreign language at an early age. Also, at a young age, the mind is fresh, so the person can take in more information and can easily master a foreign language. Grammar is an important essence to communication because it helps structure is sentence and it can help in how well one can communicate. If the students have good writing skills which include syntax, they can be effective communicators because they will be able to catch on the social rules which helps they communicate well. Besides, if students have poor grammar, they will not be able to communicate effectively because they will not make sense to the speaker. Some grammar errors are sound good during communication but some are not. For example “Hey wassap with that?” sounds right but when it is interpreted to the real condition of communication, it may not make sense.
While behaviorists assess learners to arrive at an indication of where training should begin and which reinforcers would be effective; cognitivists seek to determine the individual's predisposition to learning and the best way to present new information so that it is readily assimilated into the learner's existing mental structure (Ertmer and Newby, 2013). Taking into consideration needs such as career advancement, performance, job security and work-life balance can help HR practitioners to develop the right motivational strategies to link training outcomes and individual benefits (Bohlander, Snell and Morris, 2015). Behaviourism uses feedback as reinforcement to make the desired changes in behavior , while in cognitivism uses outcomes as feedback to promote the formation of more accurate mental structures (Harasim, 2017). Adult learning also promotes use of techniques such as role-plays and practice within the work environment to help retain new knowledge and enhance transference (Bierema and Merriam, 2013). This can help learners use their past experiences to inform their learning and to share the same with others, thereby utilizing elements of social cognitive learning theory.

With that much variation with modern-day English, attention must be made by educators to how the variation has occurred. Accordingly, they must also respond in a manner that exemplifies equal learning opportunities for all classes and cultures (Boyd & Brock, 2014, p.19). Educators also acknowledge that literacy is an enhancement of the written and spoken language (Gee & Hayes, 2011, p.11). Rich-meaning literacy lessons encourage students to become engaged with all literacies; these literacies encompass the elements of the written word, visual and audio media, digital and multimedia texts (Green & Campbell, 2006, p.6). The period in time, geographical location, cultural influences and social-standing, all play an equally important role in the creation of the English language.
