Wade Watts in the world of 2045. The environment is at its worse. People are fighting over scarce resources and spaces to build homes have run out. This is why everyone including Wade have taken refuge in the O.A.S.I.S. The oasis is Wade’s second home, where there is no crisis on the environment. Wade enjoys his life more as “Parzival” (his username) in the oasis then in the real world. Everybody can dress up as anything and do whatever they want across the oasis.
