In past years, the concern for service quality reached unprecedented level in various sectors. The success of any healthcare setup depends upon the number of patients coming to Outpatient Department (OPD) each day, the efficiency of the health team, the availability of services and the quality of treatment offered1. Outpatient waiting time has two important aspects. One aspect is that the waiting time of the patients referred by the general practitioner who is created from the time of the entry to the hospital for receiving services, creates great costs and can be modified by techniques of reducing the waiting time. The other one is the waiting time from the time arrival to the hospital till entering to the examination room. The second part of this time is the waiting time which its major part is related to the hospital and comes to the existence in the hospital. And for reducing the waiting time hospitals should approach through basic interventions. Regarding the first domain, policy makers should provide the essential procedures and guidelines so that the waiting time for the health care services is reduced to the minimum7
Objectives of the study:
1. To calculate the patient waiting and consultation time for each specialty.
2. To analyze the cause and effect for the delay.

If the patient shall say longer they are more than likely to get even sicker or can catch an infection and their health should diminish prolonging their stay. This scenario is not good for any business. The length you stay in the hospital is very costly, in regards to the hospitals budget and income, we do want to see as many of our patients as possible. This will help reduce the waiting time, and improve the quality of the hospital’s service. In 2008, Euro Health Consumer Index (EHCI), Switzerland scored 187 points out of 200 in hospital waiting time. This score tied with Albania, Belgium and
A rising number of hospitals throughout the U.S. are applying a service model known as integrated health care (Kathol, Perez, Cohen 2010). The need for this is center around this area: Integration has made its approach into the health care settings gradually. This can assist in treating one’s medical and behavioral health needs within patient’s primary care provider’s office, recommending a proper evaluation as a whole person (Blout, 2003). Medical clinics have been used for a many years but its recognition is growing nationwide because of its effectiveness. Impact all parties involved, including but not limited to, patients, providers and insurance companies can be very effective.
However, the metric indicate that aspects such as consumer convenience and efficient handling of the patients have been noted. On the other hand, most of the employees are developing resistance towards the new system due to the high level of accountability required. The report therefore looks into the suitable decision that the hospital management should consider. What are the key decisions that have to be made at GGH?
The government has strived to achieve equity in access and provided a comprehensive range of affordable and quality care. At the same time, it has not neglected services that are in the realm of public goods. The importance of quality and standards of care is without question. Important quality and innovation will attract inward investment and generate income to the nation through many opportunities in the health sector and industry e.g. health tourism, but pose challenges in marketing and branding. The MOH has an established and transparent quality assurance programme but this is not the case in the private sector.
The patients experience within the hospital is collected from a survey done randomly among patients. Each hospital must have at least 300 survey responses per year. After collecting the data, the data is submitted to the survey data warehouse, where it is analyzed and adjusted to truly reflect the hospital’s conditions. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services along with the Agency for healthcare research standardize the survey results with the hospital consumer assessment of healthcare providers and systems survey. This survey has only thirty-two questions which are analyzed each year.
The Importance of Being On Time Respect is something that we all desire, but earning it is no easy task. One of the most respectable traits anyone can have, civilian or soldier can have is time management. When you report for duty, or be on time for your date, time management should be a must. By not managing your time well, you could disrupt not only the course of your day, but others as well. Keeping your word and showing up on time shows that you are reliable and appreciate the other person's time as well.
The most significant disadvantage of the current fully public health care system is the long waiting lines which can be solved by adding some private sector to the current fully public health care system. There is some variability in perceptions about waiting lists and waiting lines in Canadian health care system. The lack of standards governing whether and when a patient placed on the waiting list is the first major source. (Sanmartin, Shortt, Barer, Sheps, Lewis, McDonald, 2000). For example, many patients should wait for hours and tolerate the pain if their situation is not as urgent as the others in the emergency rooms of hospitals.
Being on time is one of the most common things you can find in any policy that is out there, whether it is for a job, school, and even the military. Being on time is one of the simplest of things that you can do to show that you have discipline, respect, and responsibility. This can also be one of the key factors that can hinder you from you reaching your goals, and completing any task that you need to complete. Missions and operations have many moving and connecting pieces that function together as a whole depending on a time sensitive plan. Being on time is probably the most common requirement in anything that you will do in life.
Isaac Rodgers 24-Jun-15 The Importance of Being on Time and Organized For Appointments Time management is important because it shows that you care making the appointments on time. When making an appointment that is one thing that you should be aware of and an appointment is considered to be your place of duty when scheduled. The seven army values can be applied when it comes to appointments. Starting with loyalty you are saying that you are going to make it to your place of duty in return making you loyal.
The office was quite busy due to the ongoing flu epidemic. Upon arrival, there was one person in the waiting room, five that arrived later, and at least 5 in the exam rooms. Being a doctor’s office, they utilize a combination of prioritization based on the level of illness or injury followed by appointments, then walk-ins. The waiting time to get into a room was 38 minutes or 33 minutes past the appointment time, and several patients that arrived later had already been taken back.
This includes what services are produced and the ways services are produced in the healthcare system. The healthcare system is considered efficient if there is a high number of satisfied patients. This is possible due to shorter waiting times and faster diagnosis and treatment. Therefore an efficiency advantage for the healthcare system due to gatekeeping is the reduction of both cost and unnecessary patients that are seeing specialist, resulting in longer waiting times are therefore later diagnosis and treatment. This reduction in patients will also ensure specialists are able to see more complex cases with more available time.
