The times of which one goes to bed and wakes up may seem very trivial, as they may seem to simply be at the hands of one’s circadian rhythm. However, being an early riser or a late sleeper, known as a chronotype, can determine much of one’s skills and personality. Many studies have shown the most common attributes associated with these behaviours, with a few being turned into fully developed conclusions. Discoveries have shown that this habit is predisposed to humans within their DNA. This means that is more than just a mere habit, as this is making it grounded in genetic backgrounds. Being a morning or a night person shapes one’s personality drastically, and each is quite different. This is seen within work habits, health, and stamina. Each point has many nuances that go for or against a certain chronotype, which levels the field quite a bit. Good work habits are certainly present in cases of both chronotypes. However, waking up early is tied to higher productivity in many ways. Morning people are less likely to procrastinate than night people, with night people usually working into the late hours of the night in order to finish late assignments. Morning people generally have better work habits and health, but night people generally have more stamina to get through the day, and essentially through life. It is clear that whether someone is a morning or night person determines how they may behave, with clear differences in these behaviours. The early riser behaviour is required in the majority of educational facilities and workplaces. Having morning people is an obvious necessity, but without night people, there would be an even greater struggle to find those brave who are enough for the night shifts. The general population would be at a disadvantage without the presence of both
