The Reign of Terror did not support the ideals of the revolution. Unfortunately for French citizens, they were not able to elect tribunal members. The tribunal members, who have absolute power were “appointed by the National Convention” (Document E). French people were rejected in their own country, which is proven by the statement that “conspirators are, in its eyes, only strangers”(Document G). The original ideals were made to protect the people of France but instead they were killing
Civil War 1642 Why did war break out in England in 1642? Like most wars, the civil war of 1642 erupted because of many different reasons, but perhaps the greatest cause was the weak support parliament offered their king. Relations between parliament and King Charles were evidently unstable. Parliament resisted every attempt Charles made to quench the stirring unrest in the kingdom, and Charles in turn scorned their decisions and further complicated the clash of power. War broke out in England in 1642 because Parliament wouldn’t cooperate with their king.
The first reason Adams was an ineffective president with the XYZ Affair was because of many reasons. Adams talked bad about France. He let everybody know about the XYZ Affair which included three French agents. They all demanded bribes, concessions, and some loans from the American Government in exchange for peace discussions. He asked Congress for money to build the army and navy.
“THE TACTICIAN NAPOLEON BONAPARTE” In 1787 France was utterly shaken by the beginning of a great revolution that would reshape the country, its political system, leadership and its monarch. At the time France fell under a social and political system known as “Ancien regim” which translates to the old order. Social institutions were divided into three parts, the clergy, nobility and the third estate which were commoners.
The French government system wasn’t the best for the French citizens, the economic and political issues made the country more divided. The French government did absolutely nothing to help their people, they didn’t realize that the whole country would be affected by their actions. The crisis France had faced could have been prevented, only if the government gave the necessary help and the rights
The Reign of Terror was a period of the French Revolution characterized by a wave of executions and a distrust of presumed enemies of the state. The French revolution begun mainly because of financial crisis and ended up lasting from 1789 through 1799. Directed by the Committee of Public Safety, the revolutionary government was essentially a war dictatorship, created to rule the country in a national crisis. Among its twelve members were Lazare Carnot, George Couthon, but most importantly, Maximilien Robespierre, its dominant member. The main focus was to eliminate all counter-revolutionary elements such as the ability to leave the country, the right to privacy, and freedom of speech.

These questions will be answered by the time you have finished reading this paper. The French Revolution was from 1789 to 1799. Many governmental changes were made in that short time period. From the monarchy being overthrown and the royal family’s execution to Maximilien Robespierre and Napoleon taking over.
Since there was debt because of the war, the economy was already very bad in Britain – therefore they taxed the colonies. When the colonies started boycotting British products and threatened to stop trading with them all together, it was successful because Britain’s economy wasn’t strong enough to handle those things. The merchants in Britain couldn’t afford to have trade with America end. If the British merchants were hurt, this would thus hurt The economy as a whole in Britain. In later decades, in the War of 1812, America would try to stop trade with Britain again using a method called embargo, which would not be effective because they did not have the debt that the War had caused.

Henry took control of the situation by demolishing the illegal castles built in Stephens’s reign the barons saw this as an attack on baronial power but the king was asserting his authority and keeping the barons on a tight leash to prevent them from becoming too powerful. Furthermore Henry had the problem of resolving the splits in the country which had caused confusion. During Stephens reign there were resentments from supporters. Henry had to regain the support of his people as he would not have been able to
establish the French economic dominance on the continent against the British influence. But the Napoleonic actions did not achieve the expected success; the invasion of the French troops in other countries generated the opposition of the population from the territories occupied. This was the case of Portugal and Spain, as well as the strong resistance of the Napoleonic troops in Russia. Napoleon 's defeat began in the Russian campaign, which put a stain on the image of the invincible general. Furthermore, Napoleon was appointed as a traitor of the republican ideals of the French Revolution, because of the return from the noble principles of the aristocracy.
The American Revolution was the first war in America 's history. It was caused by many events such as the French and Indian War, the Intolerable Acts, and the king’s oppressive rules. However, the main factors that caused this war were, taxation, not being allowed to have representation in Parliament and being denied their rights. The first reason that the colonists and England went to war, was the fact that England was passing taxes without the colonists having a voice.
The first government of the united states was based on the articles of confederation and that was eventually adopted during the revolutionary war. The major flaw of the articles of confederation was the lack of strong national government. Which was the cause of economic disorganization, lack of central leadership, and legislative inefficiencies. The economic disorganization was exposed due to that congress could not regulate trade because of limited power that congress had. Not only did congress have limited power, but also the economic disorganization had no uniform system of currency.
The Glorious Revolution was when Mary and her husband William of Orange took the throne from James II in 1688. Sometimes it was called the Bloodless Revolution, although there was loss of life and fighting in Ireland and Scotland. This happened because tension ran deep between the parliament and king and restoration did not settle the fundamental questions of power between them. Then to regain fiscal autonomy and overthrow the Parliament, Charles II signed the Treaty of Dover with Louis XIV in 1671. The parliament was still unable to gain the upper hand and the solution became clear, Mary Stuart and her husband William of Orange.
