Introduction
Water quality refers to water having the specific requirements to support the lives of biotic species, as well as to serve a purpose or need for humans. It is also a standard which should be preserved as best as possible. Various characteristics attribute to water quality, including physical, chemical and biological. These characteristics affect the turbidity, temperature, pH, alkalinity, and aquatic organism make-up, along with many other factors. Due to the hydrological cycle, water is constantly in contact with the environment, which leaves it subject to pollution, as well as, filtration. However, the environment must be aided in managing the earth’s water supply. Therefore, it is important to facilitate proper land use and watershed management techniques.

Specific land uses which utilise chemicals can also affect the biological characteristics of the water, thereby, altering organism populations. On October 8th, 2015 our class took a field trip to the Conodoguinet Creek to test the water quality. We did 3 experiments to help us conclude the quality. During the first experiment we observed the different types of organisms in the creek. We also took tests for eutrophication in the water. Another experiment we performed were acidity tests.
Many unknown micro-contaminants are present in water. Some of the micro-contaminations might pose a risk to drinking water and human health. In many countries, surface water is one of the main sources of drinking water. The quality of the drinking water is influenced by many factors, such as agricultural and industrial waste, and is monitored regularly. One of the most difficult challenges that faces our society about water pollution is cleaning after a body of water have been contaminated. The pollution that we were testing for is where the acid came from to begin with.

Introduction Public water fluoridation was first practiced in 1945 (Water Fluoridation and Cancer Risk). Therefore adding fluoride to water has been in practice for many years. Over the years people have wondered if fluoride is safe or even necessary. There are those that are for the addition to fluoride while many oppose water fluoridation. There have been mixed emotions about this in Georgia along with other states as well.
Our beautiful state of Florida is one the richest states when it comes to the diversity of ecosystems. Especially when it comes to our aquatic life such as freshwater and saltwater ecosystems. The state of Florida is one of the states that its water supply is gathered from many different rivers, streams, and springs throughout the whole entire state. All of the aquatic ecosystems are connected in some sort of way. China is a big country by population and by area, there is a diversity in weather climate, southern parts of the country are rainy areas while the northern areas have lack of rain, this is the cause of uneven distribution of fresh water.
Too much chemicals in the water like lead, sulfur, chloride and fluoride can cause birth defects, cancer, Flu like symptoms. Stop Taking Clean Water for Granted Can you stop for a moment and think what would happen if we didn’t have water; clean water? It seems impossible, as we use water to drink, cook, clean, grow things, and for everything else in life. Unfortunately, because of the easy access to one of the most plentiful, and most valuable resources in the world, some people take water for granted. In contrast, other poor people live in places where the only easy way to get water is from a dirty irrigation ditch. Or their only source of water is backyard faucet shared by several homes.
