Introduction: Each and every creature of god needs water to live in this world. A human body is made up of 60% water, human brain is made up of 70 %water, and human lungs are made up of 90% water. Each and every day, your body must replace 2.4876liters or about 2.5 quarts of water as food and liquid items. The human being of the world are the creatures who have the responsibility to prevent water and other natural resources of mother earth but nowadays they started to waste it so once the wastage increased the demand for water cannot be fulfilled. When the wants are not fulfilled it leads to unlawful activities in different way for the consumption of water it may such as violence by way of restricting people from consuming …show more content…
A new research by Netherland University proves that four billion people lives in south Asia facing severe water scarcity at least a whole month of the year. The excess of consumption water increases the demand for water, which leads to the scarcity of water in various parts of the world. Reason behind the Imbalance: The rain water is wasted and it straight away mixes with the Sea water and becomes salty. Salination of water is due to the lack of water harvesting in the coastal areas of the country. This happens because of the mass consumption of water by the human beings the sea water fills the place of ground water so the ground water becomes salty. Especially this happens in the coastal areas of the country. Rivers are not able to complete the natural journey successfully due to inappropriate dam build by human restricts rivers from flowing into the ground. By nature the water bodies flows towards the slop but now as we started to use the dry water bodies as plots and building apartments. When we started using such land there is no way for the improvement of Ground
In the article, “Water Controversies Boil Over”, from Sacramento Bee “Opinion” section, published on APril 26, 2009 by Mat Wiser. He argues the conflict about conserving the water. Mat wiser exclaims that in the next year nations will fight over water, because it’s not being handled in the most efficient way it should be. Water isn’t being handled efficiently, and that kills land, food crops, and animals ecosystems. Mat Wiser says that, “There is probably enough fresh water available to meet humans needs the problem is poor management of water, which results in scarcity and conflicts,” (2009 Wiser).
China’s government has placed their water price way too low. If the price doesn't change soon citizens will feel that they can cheaply use and waste their limited supply. If the government will raise the price of the water, citizens will become more cautious about sparingly using the water. They will use less of the liquid so residents don't have to pay as much for unnecessary usage. (Document F)
In Charles Fishman’s this chapter of the book, “The Big Thirst,” he says that on average five thousand kids die a day because of the lack of clean water. This means that over five hundred kids in an elementary school in ten elementary schools are dying each day. In Orma, Tennessee the town ran out of water and had to have volunteer fire fighters drive to a nearby city every couple days ten times just so that the town could have water for three hours each day. The forty families that lived in the town ran out of water and was only allowed water for three hours each day. As Fishman says “water can’t be used up”.
The Invisible Sea is the Salton Sea. The Salton Sea has been slowly drying up. Now the lakebed that has formed because of this is polluting the air with harmful toxins. Winds then spread these toxins and people inhale them. This increases the risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease, asthma, and chronic respiratory disease.
When one thinks about Colorado one thinks about the mountains, wildlife, and rivers. Colorado is a beautiful state that has so much land and wildlife to offer, it’s a state that is full of peace and tranquility with all its environment that it provides for our population and tourists. However, due to population growth and climate change Colorado runs the risk of going through a water crisis. Conservation Colorado is the largest environmental nonprofit organization in Colorado. Fighting for Colorado to be able to keep its beautiful wonders intact and to prevent from suffering from a water crisis by fighting for our state to conserve its water and prevent it from suffering a water drought.
Due to negligence of state regulation of water, people have
"I got sick and tired of looking at what looked like a pile of hay,"(Cave) said one of the residents in California. This woman was talking about using a spray paint to color her front lawn green. She may find that the sprayed grass solves her problem in her own yard, but everyone in California knows that there is a much more overwhelming problem that must be handled. Since 2011, there has been a serious problem of water shortage in California. Because of climate changes heating up the Earth and people using an extraordinary amount of water, California has become one of the worst drought areas in the United States.
The text allows for the reader to understand what the water crisis is, and how it is impacting our daily lives. The text also gives the reader multiple different examples of water control in the United States. But, because of all the corporate greed, corporations are ruining our natural resource of water by creating it into a commodity and selling it. This book gives great insight on how corrupt the government can be when they want to make a cheap buck. Again, “Water is a necessity of life that touches everyone in their own homes” (Snitow and Kaufman, 1) water is a right to all humans, not a commodity for business
“As the population rises, the world 's water usage will rise. Many areas of the world already suffer from a lack of fresh water,” (Population Control 3). If the world runs out of freshwater, humanity will plunge into chaos. Humanity needs water to survive, and that is a fact. Relationships between countries will be broken apart over disputes for water.
This leads to soil erosion. The water carries away the eroded soil and the eroded soil may be deposited in rivers. Rainwater flows quickly into rivers during heavy rain because there is no reservation of water by plant roots as well as water catchment areas. Due to oozing in the rivers, the water flow is slowed down and become blocked. Thus, water flow interior and causes flash floods in low areas.
So, because of the availability of clean water is being abused, the problem of wasting water started to emerge. Some people thinks that with all the water on our plant’s surface, why are many so worried about water preservation? People who waste water think that it’s from their right to have plenty of water. If one mediates the world around, he/she should have observed that all creatures on earth need water to survive. Furthermore, the shortage of water in the body of any living creature happen to cause health problems and even death.
2% of earth’s fresh water is frozen in ice caps; and, only 1% of earth’s fresh water is available to consume. 2. Unfortunately for our planet, supplies of water are running dry at an alarming rate. The world’s population continues to soar; but, that rise in numbers has not been matched by an increase in supplies of fresh water. Let’s talk about what is going on around the world; I will mention to you just a few major cities, and show you how they are dealing with water shortage.
2.1 Urbanization and river water quality Due to movement of people from rural to urban areas, physical growth of the urban areas occurs, which ultimately leads to the urbanization, Over the past several years, river systems have always been extensively altered to meet various human demands, which led to them becoming the most intensively influenced ecosystems by human activities on the Earth (Nilsson, et al., 2005 )]. ‘’Among these human activities, the influence of urbanization on river systems was the most significant, and 60% of river systems were changed profoundly because of urbanization in the world’’ as cited by (Nilsson, et al., 2005 ) Recently, a number of studies have been done to understand the effects of urbanization on river water quality. The study manifested on Pearl River Delta Economic Zone is in China, that there is a positive correlation between the rapidity of urbanization and the pollution levels of urban river water.
Water is one of the most important and vital substance on earth. All life forms on earth require water to survive. If there will be no water there would be no life on earth. Aside from drinking water to survive, people have many other uses for water.
Introduction By the year 2025, the Philippines is believed to be brought to a water crisis if no new sources of water are developed or found to meet the growing demand of the citizens. (Sapnu, R., Balabo, D., & Cervantes, D., 2007) "There is a Japan International Cooperation Agency study that says that if we will not conserve water, there may be some problems. But of course we can always start conserving now and look for other sources," Lopez (2013) said. Studies have shown how water conservation and appropriate water utilization are significant as early as today.
