Meanwhile he always puts in his best effort to contribute to the forwards play by joining the rush, or to say, providing shots from the blue line. Due to Ryan McDonagh’s capability to lead by example, he led the Rangers to the Stanley cup final. Ryan was, by far, the best defenseman for The Rangers. As shown by the way he played against the Los Angeles Kings. This team has highly skilled forwards which calls for a strong defenseman to shut them down; such as Ryan.
Peter Skene Ogden was a very successful trapper and explorer without him the territory that now makes up the states of Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah Idaho and Montana would remain undiscovered. The document “PETER SKENE OGDEN 'S JOURNAL OF HIS EXPEDITION TO UTAH, 1825” gives details about one of his most famous expeditions. It is significant because it shows what Ogden and his group experienced and the hardships they had to overcome. It also lays out a map of which way Ogden traveled with his group. Ogden was a Canadian by birth, but was a descendant of early American Ancestors.
ADAM RASMI is a Toronto-based writer and journalist. “Sunny ways, my friends. Sunny ways. The remarks were a direct nod to Sir Wilfrid Laurier, a former Canadian prime minister known for his pleasant manner and ability to forge compromises.

The little details are what make you stand out from the other players. While my teammates are out focusing on how many points they can put up, I would incorporate as many of the “little details” to get looked at. In hockey, I have to be first one on the puck at all times. I have to want it more than anyone else and win ever battle. I have to be intense and ready to do whatever it takes to get to loose pucks, before my opponents.
Tim Tebow is acknowledged by many as the greatest player in the history of college football, after being traded by the Denver Broncs in 2010 his number fifteen has become the league’s highest selling jersey. After Denver Broncs traded Tebow to the New York Jets in early 2012, Tebow continued to be featured in sports media. The most popular shows on television from Saturday Night Live, to Jimmy Fallon has featured Tebow and his religious gestures. In Tebow’s eyes, his success comes from God as it says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world he gave his one and only begotten son, that whoever believe’s in him will not perish but have everlasting life.” Tebow’s religious gestures are both loved and resented. One example of Tebow’s religious
Terry Fox has been Canada’s hero for many generations, and you could still say that he is to this day. What better way to learn about him then reading Terry Fox: His Story, by Leslie Scrivener. In my opinion, this book is one of the greatest autobiographies that I have ever read, it might even be one of the best books I have ever read, in all honesty. From the way this book is written to how each idea is executed in this book, this book brought back many memories that I had of Terry Fox and it brought some new one’s as well. Terry Fox: His Story, is about eighteen year old Terry Fox.
Ice Hockey is a rough sport especially for the goalkeeper, who has to be guarded since the goalkeeper is a very valuable player on the ice. The goalkeeper greatly influences the outcome of an ice hockey match. Ice Hockey is a popular sport in Canada, United States and
USA hockey even says college players should allow visors and all of the upsides to them. “Guys our age wear them in Canada so I don’t see why college teams can’t do it” (Derek Stephan1). To sum up the visors have more upsides then cages do. “its been noted that American college hockey is the only level of the sport where players over the age of 18 must wear full facial protection” (jess Myers1). Although the cage supporters have good points the visors are still taking the cake.
Today is that day. Today is the day I’m going to win the Stanley Cup. During the season I stayed at the Staal residence with the Staal brothers, Eric and Jordan. Eric is one of the best hockey players I have ever seen. In the past couple of seasons were rough for him.
With 6 seconds left, the puck made its way to the rookie Vladimir Tarasenko. As if he had practiced this his whole life, he fired a wrist shot without blinking and roofed it. Scottrade Center erupted. The Blues would go on to win the game and unfortunately lose the series; however, this was one of the most exhilarating sports moments I have ever witnessed. Many of the hockey games I have been to have been memorable, but a couple of other experiences also stand out.
Today I am honored to be standing here presenting the Conn Smythe trophy to my friend Duncan Keith. The Conn Smythe is awarded to the most valuable player during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. I first heard of this tremendous defensemen back in the 2009-10 season where he helped prevail the Chicago Blackhawks to their first Stanley Cup victory since 1961. It seems like Duncan never has a bad season and makes very few mistakes on the ice. The amount of time he puts into this game really shows his dedication and love for hockey.
That helped make him a football coaching legend. Devaney’s leadership Nebraska developed one of the nation’s most successful all around athletic program.
