Educational tools should be teachers, games, books, just not tablets. If humans didn 't need technology 40 years ago, why now? Why do we have to risk every piece of humanity we have left inside us just to be on a tablet? Connecting with students and having a teacher and student bond is important in a student 's life. Not having physical exercise even having it available twice a week can lead to health issues.
In the heated discussion of college education, one controversial issue has been if the Pell Grant program for inmates would be beneficial as a whole. On the one hand, many in congress argues that a college degree will reduce the recidivism of inmates. On the other hand, some college students contend that it will reduce the amount of aid they get from Pell Grant. My own view is that there should be very strict criteria and that only a small percentage per year be given this great opportunity to receive a college education. Every semester, there are an abundant number of students who apply for Pell Grant to assist them with the costs of college.
Or another effect that students are not well prepare enough for the real world because they just try to get the degree to graduate and actually not learn anything. If going to college is free, it is similar of students go to elementary, middle or high school, they are just going to school and are not really think ahead of their future. But when students get to college, hopefully they are old enough to realize what is best for them. If free college could happen, students should be thankful for that and try their best to achieve what they want. College should be free because of it can makes a big effect on student 's lives.
I would rather go to school because then you would be able to have a family and not worry about getting kicked out of an apartment complex because you can not pay your rent and in college my Mom and Dad met so you might meet that special someone lol. Finally, you should side with Dr. Huxtable because he has more experience and knows more about how you should use and what you should and should not spend it on than Theo. Those are all of the examples and reasonings why you should side with Dr. Huxtable and not Theo also why you should do good during high school so if your mind changes, and you do want to go to college and get further
The biggest problem resulting from the student debt crisis is you hear stories of new graduates who have to stay with their parents so they can cut back on costs in order to pay off their student loan. When you take out student loans to help pay for college, it’s easy to forget that that money will eventually have to be paid back. Student graduates can’t do many things due to these student loans such as buying a home, getting married, or having children. But for right now giving students more information about their debt may help students say no to loans. Borrowing less may make it harder for students to graduate if, for instance, they spend more time working and less time studying.
A credit card can be a handy tool for students when an emergency situation calls for more money than what is available. We have to remember that most students are not near their parents often enough when they go off to college. This means that mom and dad cannot always come to the student’s side when they are in need of money. Credit cards provide a convenient way for students to buy things without having to reach out to their parents every time. As long as the student is educated on what exactly an emergency is, then a credit card could be a beneficial idea.
Throughout the first week of EOF I’ve learned about many things, but most importantly be grateful for the opportunity getting a higher education beyond a high school degree, that majority of people like me can 't afford. Transition from high school into college is a huge difference because you are now in your own, and even though there are people on campus to help you, you have to take responsibility for your own self. One might be tough but being away from home is hard, since mom is not around to cook those delicious meals, do your laundry, remind you to do your work, take care of you when sick, as well as other things. I’ve learned that transition from high school into a college setting takes time, but it is all about getting used to a new
I mainly became a college student because my father had the resources for me to be able to apply with some scholarships. Without that, I'm not sure I would be here, because my family is very against student loans. My mom really pushed me to go to college as well, but I too have the interest in getting my first degree. My mother, father, and two older sisters have all had some college education. I'm not sure if this influenced me in anyway, besides one of my older sisters having trouble finishing her online courses.
I remembered saying that:” go back to your planet”. It might be unfamiliar with American but in Vietnam, kids are forced to go to study at their teacher’s house after class by their parents. Depending on how serious of education their parents take, it will determine how much time they are going to spend on “after class” sessions. Studying in school only is really not enough for those who want to earn high
When ending up studying 48 hours the night before the college exam just to go to college and look “successful” to other people, you might realize that there could have been other choices than going to college. Although people modern days tend to naturally think after high school, it’s college. Students should think about ways other than going to college too, because there are a lot of choices without going to college, college is not the only way to have a better job and success. Some people may say stop dreaming about a great future like Steve Jobs without going to college or even telling you that the only way to have a successful life is to go to a good college, get a good job, and merry to have a perfect family. All those things seem to face the reality
