What is one weakness you have?
One weakness that I have is being able to talk to people as soon as I meet them. When I meet people I don’t like to talk to them because I don’t really know them all that well. I like to get to know them just by observing at first and then I start to talk to them. I could just go and talk to them at the start to help this process go by faster and not take as much time.
What is one thing you do well?
One thing that I do well is I get right to work as soon as I know what I need to do. If I am trying to figure out what I need to do to fix something I will get right to work as soon I know what I need to do or fix.

Lani: I was helping for someone’s project for COMM 245; I was in the video lab, in the studio. I was on campus and decided to contact everyone I knew who comes to the school. I remember I sent out a snap saying guys I think there is a shooting, be careful and then I started sending out individual texts to people making sure they were okay, like hey are you good? Stay out of an area.
As a person who lost a loved one to cancer, I have desired to find a way to cure such an illness. Seeing the type of pain people endure inspires me try to use my life to find way to relieve their pain. The way I want to do this is by developing new pharmaceuticals through research on cancer stem cells. The vast field of chemical engineering would help me reach my full potential in enhancing medical drug discovery. I believe that Texas A&M would provide me with all the tools I could need to pursue my chemical engineering degree, as well as other aspects of engineering I may want to pursue as well.
A specific example of a time I used the skill strong work ethic was at the daycare where I currently work. My boss seemed to being having a bad day so I put it upon myself to volunteer to do all of the sweeping and mopping and do all of the end of the day diaper changes. She usually does most of these things herself, but I don’t mind having more work to do and I like helping out. A time when I used my ability to work in a team was in my rhetoric class.

The two traits that have consistently separated me from most people my age is my work ethic and my focus. My work ethic mainly shows up in sports, and business as those were more of a focus for me than school. Growing up I had a love for basketball, I was not the tallest, strongest, or most athletic kid on the court ever. But I had more heart, and desire than anyone on that court. It showed in my high school career.
Professionally Not Professional Young people may be so naïve that they believe that it is professionally okay to send out an email to other professionals that uses slang, bad grammar, or misspelling within it. John Rumery, presenter of “Stop Talking. Start Writing. Get Moving;” told a room of young college students that if they are hoping to seek professional work after college, then they need to have great writing, analytical, and social skills.
My strength as a writer seems to be the flow of my paper, finding good citations to support my argument, and writing in a clear manner. I still need to work on floating quotes, word choice, and synthesizing along with clarifying who said certain quotes. I am also working on scheduling more than enough time to write and perfect my essays because as much as I think I have allowed myself enough time I feel like the time is never enough.
Fixing thing has always been a strong passion of mine. The troubleshooting and having to think critically and solve technical issues is something I’m familiar with. My most favorite job that I’ve worked in my life was at my uncle’s lawn mower shop, where I was responsible for diagnosing problems in small engines and repairing them cost efficiently. Planning workloads and daily routines. The Electrical Engineering technologist field would fit me fine.
My Worst Job When I was sixteen, one of my middle school friends named Jessica was a shift leader at dunkin she wanted me to work with her for the summer to have some extra money. It seemed like a lot of fun for the first week or so, but it turned out to be the worst job of my life. My job was the front cash register. This was fun I actually enjoyed it
Overworked. That’s the closest word that I could use to describe this week. I feel like this journal is going to be about me just bickering, yet there is some stuff you might want to read about. First of all, I have been sleeping three hours this week because of upcoming midterms, quizzes, and assignments due. I am sleep deprived and mentally drained and as my second year in college I have never had my life drained out of my body like a passing shadow.
Everything began about 12 years ago in El Salvador. When my father left El Salvador to come here to the United States, leaving my siblings, my mother, and me in El Salvador to give us a better life. Since that moment, when I saw my parents, working arduously every single day to try to get us out of poverty, to have better life conditions for me and my brothers; I knew that I had to become a professional to help my parents and reward them for all the effort and sacrifice that they have done for me. Years later, I started to wonder how engines, computers, and every type of machines work, and after going deeper into the topic, I felt fascinated in knowing how complex things work. From that moment I knew that I have to become an engineer.
The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. I say this because I 've experienced it myself. About 3 years ago I wanted to play the guitar. I went to my mom and asked her if she could buy me one because I really wanted to play. The next morning my mom went to the store and got me a guitar.
According to the Strengths Finder survey results, my top five strengths are responsibility, competition, input, relator, and intellection. Some of these I have already utilized, and others require more development to determine how they can be more effectively applied in my everyday life. Responsibility was the first strength listed in my survey results. If I commit to doing something, I make every effort to not disappoint anyone who is counting on me. I am often assigned additional duties or projects at work, because management knows that I will get them accomplished.
Basically it is because even though we are developing, we are This planet earth that we are living on is also one the factor of why I choose to be an engineer. Back then, human being used to live in a proper environment, lesser pollution and vary sources of energy. However, as we all know that time has changed everything, we are running out of energy. For me, the most important thing for engineer to discuss is to create new sources of energy without affecting our world. This have hurt enough and instead of hurting it more we should healing it.
The impression of reflecting on what I have learnt over the preceding weeks are often frustrating struggle for me since I habitually contend that I have learnt nothing! Though, incredible that I suppose I might not comprehend that I am actually learning and altering my judgments and philosophies on materials of any significance. Being conversant with the new originations and thoughts often necessitate a great deal of reading, writing, group work and active participation on module forums which can construct a bit of intellectual reluctance but also ask probing questions for the purpose of learning activities. Irrespective in the end, I recognize that I have learnt because I have proficient new ideas, thoughts and intuitions to new tools, technologies
