Web design is the skill of creating presentations of content (usually hypertext or hypermedia) that is delivered to an end-user through the World Wide Web, by way of a Web browser or other Web-enabled software like Internet television clients, micro blogging clients and RSS readers. The intent of web designing is to create a website — a collection of electronic documents and applications that reside on a web server/servers and present content and interactive features/interfaces to the end user in form of Web pages once requested. Such elements as text, bit-mapped images (GIFs, JPEGs) and forms can be placed on the page using HTML/XHTML/XML tags. Displaying more complex media (vector graphics, animations, videos, sounds) requires plug-ins such …show more content…
Dynamic content is often compiled on the server utilizing server-side scripting languages (Perl, PHP, ASP, JSP, ColdFusion, etc.). Both approaches are usually used in complex applications.
With growing specialization in the information technology field there is a strong tendency to draw a clear line between web design and web development.
Web design is a kind of graphic design intended for development and styling of objects of the Internet's information environment to provide them with high-end consumer features and aesthetic qualities. The offered definition separates web design from web programming, emphasizing the functional features of a web site, as well as positioning web design as a kind of graphic design.
The process of designing web pages, web sites, web applications or multimedia for the Web may utilize multiple disciplines, such as animation, authoring, communication design, corporate identity, graphic design, human-computer interaction, information architecture, interaction design, marketing, photography, search engine optimization and

A purpose statement should show focus based on what the website will accomplish and what the users will get from it. A clearly defined purpose will help the rest of the planning process as the audience is identified and the content of the site is developed. Setting short and long term goals for the website will help make the purpose clear and plan for the future when expansion, modification, and improvement will take place. Setting a goal practices and measurable objectives should be identified to track the progress of the site and determine
The second progress report document includes the description and the screenshots of all pages on the website, and how the site has been adhered the security protocols, web standards other best practices in Web development. Development considerations was also listed. 4.1. Template Page Layout All pages have the header and the horizontal navigation bar on the top and the vertical navigation system and the user login form on the left hand side.
Assignment 1 What is Web Server Scripting? Explain the principles of web server scripting: Web server scripting is simply where a script is executed on the web server before a webpage is sent to the user. This means that the files that the user can customised rather the layout or information shown on the webpage once they load it up, an example of this would be, on Facebook once you login you will get a news feed, which is for you alone and no one else. This makes webpages dynamic; they can change depending on circumstances of the user instead of being a simple static page which can’t change rather the layout, information and so forth.
3. Research Question and Objectives Our main objective is to design a web-based visual interactive software that can provide us a graphical interface for computer programming. Where basic general purpose programming facilities will be available like creation of modules, arrays and object orientation. Where we can achieve multitasking using threads and exception handling to catch exceptions.
This document proposes a Unit 1 revision for ENGL 313, Rhetorical Web Design at Iowa State University. The goal is to improve the first weeks of the course to fit the skill levels of the beginner students to enhance their learning of web design. 1.2 Background Many students enrolled in ENGL 313 have minimal knowledge about rhetorical web design, which employs rhetorical and web design principles to create an interactive and responsive website. Because there is only one course on rhetorical web design, the class addresses a wide range of topics including various front-end frameworks and scripting languages.
Mission and Core Values: Clear and define mission and values statement that will be used to lead the design process and what the School will be founded on and guide operations. 2. Student Body: Student Demographics to be served by programming, recruitment, maintenance, development, and on boarding. 3. Governance: Members, structure, responsibilities, functions, roles, selection, operational areas, policies, implementation of programming and suggested communication style, planning and financial stability.
All websites need to be well-designed so that the users are able to navigate promptly to find the information that interests them the most. The design we created will be used to demonstrate the simplest maintenance
Users are participants. Experience is modernized and digitized. Usage of asynchronous java script +xml. 2. How efficient is the mode of communication and are team work skilled enough with better communicating strategies?
Question 1 Multimedia is the use of computer to present the combination of five elements with links and tools that enable the user to navigate, interact and communicate. Multimedia comprises five elements, Text, Graphics, Audio, Video and Animation. Text is the simplest element used in Multimedia to convey idea or concept. Any alphanumeric symbols and numbers can be considered as text. A meaningful word can be formed through the combination of alphanumeric symbols or a statistic can be performed through numbers.
One key guide that helped me in the process is breaking down the websites into different parts and then explaining how they work using pathos , ethos, and logos. By pre-writing the analysis it helps to build up the final analysis. The techniques learned helped gather an example of appeals and
Mission statements are typically future focused and are not essentially constructed on present-day. They should be a reasonable viewpoint from which to look down the road. These statements should not bound the development of the organization’s premises through incorrect
During my job shadow with Ms. Eileen Chalupa on Doane’s Campus I learned how to be creative, come up with my own style of graphic designing, and most importantly to never give up or lose hope on a project that someone has asked for. Her job is the head graphic designer at Doane University. Some questions that I asked her during the job shadow were what are some positive aspects and negative aspects of working as a graphic designer, are the hours flexible for the job and another question I asked was what training did she do to get ready for this type of work and if it required any type of education to complete. One of the reasons she chose this career was because her mother went through the desktop publishing program at Southeast Community
The goals created for the organization have to be aligned with the strategic goals and overall mission of the entire organization.
Artificial intelligence is widely applied in different fields, such as medicine, engineering and design. Fashion industry is one of the industries that artificial intelligence applications are used in production processes. There are four operation processes of the fashion industry: fashion design, manufacturing, retailing, and supply chain management. The fashion industry, or called apparel industry, is the industry engaged in manufacturing garments and accessories and it is one of the most significant economic sectors in the world. Design, manufacturing and retailing are the three compulsory processes for a fashion item from designers and sold to customers.
