Since deciding that I would like to change the focus of my career from Electrical Installations to Web Development I started to look at the university courses and structures, I came to find that the course best suited for me was Computer Science. This is because the course will not only introduce me to new computer languages, it will help me learn about Networking, Software Engineering, Data handling along with many other important subjects that will all broaden my knowledge and help me work towards becoming a Web Developer.
Before I can attend university I will take a Further Education course since the qualifications I received in Electrical Installations are not academic and could not be credited towards entering a university. The subjects I am studying are Physics and Maths, I feel both subjects will aid myself within the Computer Science course since certain subjects will require knowledge of many math techniques, whereas physics will provide knowledge for Computer Engineering and knowledge I can use for hardware calculations.

The reasons I am teaching myself how to become a Web Developer are because I find it very rewarding to see an Idea be completed through to the working product then even being able to tweak parts here and there, continuously improving the idea and come out with a working website, to know that I've created that pushes me into learning more and more to enhance my understanding of Web Development and how I can use it in the
A Journey through college into Crime Scene Reconstruction While I’m in Chaffey College I will finish my Administration of Justice for Transfer (AS-T). I really just need two more courses from the list B which I am currently taking and also I will need to finish with my general education requirements. I can take classes that are going to be must for a Crime Scene reconstruction investigator which is also called a Forensic Science Technician. The courses that I am need to take are chemistry, biology, physics, statistics, math, and of course writing skills classes because to be a forensic technician I need to have a bachelor’s degree. I do not need to complete both majors sheet I can just finish my AJ course and when I transfer to San Jose State
My biggest challenge was trying pick out classes especially when you don’t know you’re major. Not knowing my major is little tedious because right now I’m still exploring what interest me the most and sometime it can be little confusing at times. How will attack this situation by starting off taking a mixture of classes that contain Computer Science and Business because those major that got in mind, so this will get me a better what interest me the most. By going through the process of making a rough draft of my 4 year plan reveal that will numerous of class that will eventually reach my goal becoming a Computer Science major a Business major. What surprise me how much change my major from Business to Computer Science because all through high I told myself that major in Business and that was it.
It is my hope that through my education, my studying may one day lead to breakthroughs in modern technological practices and solve the lack of knowledge on technology in the area. In addition, I could help my family and others to fight the poverty. Finally, my skills in computer science will be an asset to my society and other developing nations as
A student can also increase his/her general knowledge by taking courses in many subjects which may be beneficial for him/her in the long run. In addition to increased knowledge, taking courses about a variaty of subjects can benefit the student since some
I am already emphasizing my courses on math and science because those are the topics that I really enjoy. However currently the only issue I have is the student debt. For this career the debt accumulates to around $250,000. That is a lot of money, but what it comes down to is if I enjoy what I am doing, and that is what I really care about, a job that I can be happy
I have been studying mathematics and computer science in Northern Virginia Community College for the last two years. In mathematics, I would like to study actuarial science since I appreciate how actuarial science combines math, business, and economics and uses hypothetical models to estimate future risks that big corporations might encounter. Moreover, I have a good business and economics back ground; I took some business, economics as well as accounting class when I was in high school. Even though I never had any programming experience, I believe that my strength in mathematics will help me be a competitive programmer if I work hard and get a chance to join a challenging university like Carnegie Mellon University.
Sigma Quality and cont. improvement during my graduation. I also look forward to augment my skills through classes in other disciplines like IMEN 5340 Automation and Cellular Mfg., IEEN 5329 Adv Engineering, Economic Analysis, as this would allow me to develop a multi-disciplinary approach that would give me the wisdom to handle the twists and turns of corporate world and, by providing a better platform to reach my targets in life, seamlessly transform my dream of becoming a technocrat a reality within 5 to 6 years after my
When registration began, I applied for introductory science, math, and computer science courses to see how I would perform. Once classes started, I discovered that the material was both difficult and intriguing, and that this fascination drove me to perform well in these classes. During this time, I also learned about the different majors in the Engineering school. I attended major fairs and talked with my classmates about their majors and what they wanted to do. After this exploration, I became interested in Mechanical Engineering and its ability to provide a strong education in basic, yet critical, elements of designing objects and systems used
I chose to pursue the teaching field because of my experience training new nurses and C.N.A.’s at the nursing home I previously worked at. There were students that would come to observe and learn the procedures and skills needed to work in a nursing home. My bosses knew to send them to me because they saw the passion I had for teaching skills in the nursing field. So when I knew that I was going to have those students, I became overjoyed because I knew that as they learned, I was actually making a difference in their careers in the medical field. The passion for teaching began early for me in life.
1. How have you developed as a learner/thinker? I am currently working as an IT Systems Administrator with the Air National Guard and Department of Defense; I decided to go back to school to get a full understanding of the field of Information Technology to advance in my place of employment and mentor younger airmen under me. Taking IT courses has helped me comprehend how each component of a computer operates, how to manage a network and server, how a router and switch works, and how to write code for programs. Learning these skills has enhanced my critical thinking skills; now when I am faced with a problem I can go through the basic steps of troubleshooting to rectify the issue.
I can take a variety of courses in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and database management to gain the technical expertise necessary for my research and career aspirations. Besides my specialization, I can pursue my broader interests across the different schools, taking classes in statistics, sociology, economics and humanities; including unique courses like Social Choice Theory and Technology and Society, which will allow me to explore connections between these fields and with computer science. I understand that in pursuit of technology solutions in the real-world, an understanding of social, economic and cultural implications is as important as the solutions themselves—something reinforced by my research at USC. This type of comprehensive knowledge can only be pursued at a place like
During my higher secondary education, my interests and ability were inclined towards the logically oriented subjects like mathematics, physics,
Being good in science, mathematics and having a natural inclination towards programming since early school days has shaped my future ambitions. With a strong determination and a focused goal to become a software engineer, I pursued the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information
In a culture that values individual achievement and self-reliance as a norm, we as individuals can stand back and know that there will be times when we can no longer move forward alone and reach out for help, advice, and comfort from others. For many, this is hard to do for fear of being looked down upon, considered weak, or unorganized. However, this is not the case many significant accomplishments have come to fruition from those that have come together and collaborated on issues that seem impossible to overcome. In my professional career, there have been efforts by leaders that I worked for to educate, guide and strengthen our environment to be more collaborative.
