Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Before I begin, I wish to offer my sincerest thanks to the graduation committee for giving me the opportunity to stand on this stage today and address all who are gathered here. I am deeply honored and humbled by this gesture. Firstly, I want to clarify one point: this is not a speech focused on a culmination, nor a homage to days past. This address is a celebration of the future and what is to come. Wrapping up all of the past four years into a tiny package is an impossible feat; instead, I will focus on what I believe happens from here on out. One of my favorite quotes comes from transcendentalist author Henry David Thoreau: “If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where …show more content…
Above all, I am deeply grateful for my incredible parents who have supported me through the best and the worst times of my life; I would be nowhere without this guidance. From DuBois Area High School, I extend special gratitude to Mr. Wolfe, the man who taught me to believe wholeheartedly in my own ability to change the world, and not to mention, also helped raise my math score on the SAT by nearly 200 points. I would not be where I am today without his guidance. I also wish to extend my gratefulness to Mrs. Norris, who has been ridiculously supportive of me through all of my endeavors and who aided in the discovery of my passion for politics and government; so much of myself has come from what she has taught.Additionally, I possess a debt of gratitude to my incredible guidance counselor, Mr. Volpe, who dealt with me coming to his door almost incessantly day after day, occasionally to ask about matters dealing with college or graduation, but usually just to chat about random antics and stories. Finally, I thank all the staff and faculty of the DuBois Area Senior High School; they have provided me the opportunity to chase my own dreams and instilled knowledge within that will last a lifetime. There is no way to repay such an incredible gift. So, as this ceremony draws to a close, I ask each individual gathered here to take

1. My significant contribution that I have made to Mount St. Ursula cannot be seen or touched, but, felt in the hearts of my wonderful teachers and classmates. My strong positivity has filled the environment of my school. I’ve often been told that I make optimistic impacts on many people’s lives. My amazing personality makes me a unique individual in my school amongst the cluster of young ladies.
The memory of each student’s accomplishment will forever be overshadowed by the mess of the Induction Ceremony that was originally meant to acknowledge them. I believe that the event could and should have been more smoothly conducted, for the sake of all involved. However, although the Honor Society Induction Ceremony was disorganized, I am still very honored to have been granted this prestigious award and would not have changed my decision to strive for it, if I was given the chance to begin
Good evening. I would like to start by sharing a quote from an unknown author: Being a nurse isn’t about grades, it’s about being who we are. No book can teach you how to cry with a patient. No class can teach you how to tell their family that their parent has died or is dying. No professor can teach you how to find dignity in giving someone a bed bath.
"I have seen our students reach out of themselves and truly give selflessly to others. The students have come to understand that it is not our place to judge someone and their circumstances in life, but rather to celebrate and respect the dignity of that person's

Speech for NJHS Induction Ceremony Good evening students, faculty, and family members! Thank you, Mrs. Reece and Principal King, for inviting me to this year’s National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony. Students, tonight we honor your achievements in the areas of Scholarship, Citizenship, Responsibility, Community Service, Character, and Leadership as we recognize and celebrate the choices, and at times the sacrifices, you have made. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The reward of a thing well done is to have done it."
Recieveing this letter that I was inducted to be in the National Junior Honor Society made my heart beat faster than I’d ever keep track of, knowing that I was more of a gifted student. Every heart beat was building up my stimulation about this honor, telling me that I demonstrate scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership, and service. To know that I have all of those traits in me makes me feel more of a part of this society, and has made me begin to realize the considerable things that I’ve done. This oppertunity is great for me because I can expand my inner and outer school activities to show what great things I do in my time. I truly enjoy having a mental achievement in school, knowing that my grades sit at the top of the A’s shelf and hardly sit on level B.

Introduction and Presentation Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to my speech and thank you very much for coming here today! Some of you already know me, but for those who do not; my name is Miriem Hansen, and I am 19 years old and I study Accounting and Finance at the University of London. Outline I am here today to give you a speech on the new Immigration Reform in the United States. Obama has recently introduced the Immigration Reform to the people.
This graduation has inspired my present identity. It also motivates me to stop assaults just thinking no parents were there, the doors were wide opened, and the music was so loud no one would hear. Anyone could have walked in and take kids. Not all kids luckily graduate.
I would like to convey my sincerest appreciation for my Susan Murray Merit scholarship. It is a great opportunity I plan to take and use wisely to reach my goals. You will not be disappointed in granting me this wonderful scholarship, I intend to use it
I would like to make a toast to my parents, I want to start by thanking them for all that they have done for me. I can say without a doubt that they have made me into the person I am today. I can’t thank them enough for taking me to dance, gymnastics, softball, baseball and 4-H practices. A huge thanks goes to my mom because I don’t know how she managed to care for me and my brother or keep the house up and work all while my dad was over seas. People say that my Dad is a hero and he is, but Mom your superwoman.
