Ronald Reagan is a man of many talents, whether its on the big screen in movies of in the white house running the country. Being a great young actor in hollywood wasn't enough for him. H decided to give it all up to go into politics and eventually become the 40th president of the United States during one of our countries darkest periods. These aspects of Reagan's life are probably the most important and distinguished accomplishments for him. Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois too Nelle and John Reagan.
Once Reagan had taken office on January 20, 1981 the Civil Rights Movement has already taken place. African Americans had gained rights under the new amendments made to end slavery, gain equal voting right, and due process. Previously, the economy was still recovering from the great depression and resources used in the Vietnam War. The Vietnam war brought the fight against communism into perspective because we needed to find new battle tactics to fight against Vietnam. Previously, the US hadn’t sent in troops a majority of the time to try to help the containment of communism.
For almost half a century, Andrew Young has worked for the social, political and economic advancement of oppressed people around the world. He joined the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1961 as director of the organization's Citizenship Schools, joining veteran activist Septima Clark to teach literacy and leadership skills to rural southern black women and men. Young was an aide to Martin Luther King, Jr. and a thoughtful strategist for some of the most important protests, including the Birmingham campaign and March on Washington in 1963. Young served as executive director of SCLC (1964-1968). He helped draft the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Rubin Carter was a man whom which had to undergo punishment for crimes he did not commit that later lead to his involvement in others imprisonment. Carter was born on May 6, 1937, in Clifton, New Jersey. While growing up in Paterson, New Jersey at age 12 Carter was arrested after attacking a man with a Boy Scout Knife; The man was said to be a pdophile trying to molest one of Carter’s friends. Carter then joined the army after escaping from the Jamesburg State Home for Boys. There he began his training as a boxer, later winning two European light-welterweight championships.
“Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it”-Dwight D. Eisenhower. Eisenhower was a leader that had a large impact on world war 2. Dwight D. Eisenhower did many things for the war such as the success of the allied attack in North Africa when he became a general. And later he even had success on the invasion of Sicily and the Italian mainland (History.com). And because of these great accomplishments he was made “A full general in early 1943”(History.com).

On November 4th 1979, the United States Embassy located in Tehran, Iran was attacked by a brutal mob, almost three thousand members in total. These armed men, including radicalized Muslim engineering and medical students, after a quick siege, captured sixty-six American men and women. Against their will, military and embassy personnel were taken and placed under the control of Iranian militants. Hostilities had been growing between Iran and the United States for many decades as Iranians became increasingly opposed to America’s political, economic and cultural interference in their country.
As Johnson’s presidency ended, the Republican Party won and representing President Richard Nixon. On 1973, the United States Air Forced received an orders from President Nixon to decimate the industrial and military target in North Vietnam. As the North Vietnamese attended the Paris Peace Talks the United States granted their promising words of stopping the bomb. Few months later, President Nixon delivered a speech to the nation stating that United States, South Vietnam, North Vietnam, and the Viet Cong were at peace because of signing the Paris Peace Accords. On the brighter side, the accords was a victory to the United States and South Vietnam which it was known as the V-Day.
Accomplishment William Jefferson Clinton commonly known as Bill Clinton he informed great retail political. Bill was born in 1946 and was the 42nd president of the United States from 1993-2003. Clinton graduated from Georgetown University, attended Oxford University and received a law degree from Yale University. Clinton profession is to become a politician in his career, Clinton becomes a democratic leader in 1974 U.S. House of Representatives, and Bill Clinton was not successful.
Black American History had a major role in the development of the present day United States. Slavery was the foundation of the Confederate states economic growth. This essay will focus on Booker T. Washington a man born in Virginia as a slave and with dedication earned a decent education and processed to do good deeds with it. As a slave he would package salt and work in mines and was allowed to walk to school during his free time. Booker T. Washington's accomplishments were founding Tuskegee University and being the first African American to dine in the White House and publish more than forty books.
Former US president, Jimmy Carter, gives us a taste of his own knowledge by keeping us intrigued to the story he tells on his thoughts about the wildlife. Carters purpose is to let people know that they need to have an open eye in what we do around us, we are ruining nature. He creates an appalled tone to make the reader intrigued in a topic we might not all care about. Carter begins to use imagery in his saying to give the reader more than just a read, he wants to make sure we capture all the goodness he has to tell. " Tundra before us became flooded with life with the sounds of grunting animals and clicking hooves filing the air."
Carter made it a personal goal to begin an international campaign to bring awareness toward human rights. He believed that communism had negatively impacted the lives of those living under an anti-democratic regime. Yet, an unforeseen issue arose due to the rhetoric of the Carter Administration. While Carter denounced a number of nations who either supported communism or were led by dictators, the United States relied upon several of these states as allies against the larger Cold War battles.
