Some things changed, like I joined National Honors Society, cross country, and the fall musical but was unable to continue with basketball (yet still managed) and math team because I lost interest. I loved being the student who was super involved, taking all the challenging classes and being at the top of the class. My senior year, however, was lower than where I set myself up my first few years. After I tore my ACL in May of my junior year, I noticed that the rehabilitation process was going to be a long road that required a lot of time and effort to get back to full strength. I had to stop doing some activities in order to spend more time in the training room.
Being respectful to your priors is top of that list that goes with staff, guests, and teachers it’s always good to be polite. Lanyards are something not to many students are fond of but if you think about it, it 's the most important thing at this school. It has your information, allows you to get your lunch, check out books, and more importantly get inside the school. Attendance it is required to be at school every day on time and make up work should also be given on time unless if you have an excused absence. That goes for make up quizzes, tests, and writing which is only after school once a week.
During the workouts , people my age would need help and i even helped them after practice. Last year being a veteran out there, I mentored quite a few of the younger athletes. Id say the biggest contributor to my current leadership skills is JROTC. JROTC has given me a chance to enhance my leadership skills and opportunities to develop others.
High School can be a fun time with your friends, but keeping up with all of your assignments is crucial. You have to be able to study and complete your assignments while balancing a job or a social life. What I do personally is planning out a few hours a day that is contributed to finishing all of my homework. You’re going to school for academics so it is very important that you are keeping up with school work. One thing that really helps me complete
However, the amount of time and effort put into their four years of high school doesn’t go unnoticed. To illustrate, the SAT is one of of 365 days. A school year is anywhere between 180 out of 365 days (centerforpubliceducation.org). A transcript shows how a student works and improves throughout their high school crear, whereas the SAT shows if the student got a good night 's rest and was in a good mood that one day.
By the time I graduate high school, I will already have my college associate degree that I will have earned through my hard work and dedication. Even though I went through a lot at such a young age, it has shaped me in every possible way. I was exposed to a whole different language and culture, but I was able to succeed through my strong desire of success and dedication. I am thankful for every challenge that I had to go through because if it was not for them, I would not be the person I am
Managing, the academic demands this semester while attending school, for myself has been great. However, balancing classes of course at times seems to have been very challenging. Reasonable management has been one of my biggest factors with a few of the classes I’ve taken. One class, this semester Phil 383T comforting the materials and topics discussed in class focusing on the different aspects of Technology, technology used in the past, today and later in the future has been great yet, at times challenging. Now this semester is about to come to an end, I’m come a long way, have had great progress to get to this point, so proud to say how happy I am to obtain the information I’ve obtained and read while attending class Phil 383T this semester.
As a senior at Ashley High School in New Hanover County, you have to complete a senior project. This project singlehandedly determines whether you graduate or not. It was second semester, my classmates and I were sitting in Mrs. Ventre 's class knowing exactly what was coming. We were scared, nervous, intimidated, and so much more. The way she helped me through this huge project has stuck with me to this day.
I recently heard someone say that people are a combination of the people that they spend the most time with. I have been trying to surround myself with the people who have qualities that I admire and would like to have myself. I truly believe that over the last two years I have done this. I have never been more confident with myself and I am sure that most of that is due to the fact that I am now the oldest in the school but none the less I am very happy with who I have evolved into during high school.
I formed this group because Alyssa and I were both struggling and I know Porter is great at math so I reached out to him to help us and study together. The group has been helpful because a lot of my questions can be answered by my friends. The dynamic is great because none of us are afraid to sound dumb with questions, so we are all very open and open to helping. We haven’t strictly followed the guidelines in the hand out being that we feel that the way the study group naturally works is great for us and our own learning styles.
Teachers have reported academic improvements, better attendance, and students that are less moody and less likely to fall asleep in class, and I know you care for each student in the district and want the best for each individual. A simple change in the school schedule can decrease these risks and result in successful
For example, the ALP was tough at first but during all the journals, the freewrites, and the essays were really were not so bad and they were easier because I paid attention to my professor on writing better and to make my emotions on paper,. To summarize how Brookdale was a good choice for me was I met good people, the courses, less money to spend, has a great hands on learning experience, and getting good grades. For all the new students in the ALP, learn and enjoy being in that program because that program really helped me learn two English courses in one semester so that
Being the executive secretary my freshman year, class secretary my sophomore year, and class vice president my junior year as well as being involved with Friends of Rachel and FCCLA clubs has taught me how to be dedicated and handle many tasks at once. Throughout high school, there have been very few days where I have been able to just go home after school. I am always very busy, and I have learned how to manage my time well, meaning that I can handle many things thrown my way. The money granted to me would not be
