Once, a long time ago, there were 13 major gods who lived on Mount Olympus. The 13th major god was Zeus' sister, Amythyst. She was the goddess of animals. One day she was feeling bored, so she created something. She called it a candy corn because it was always giving her candies. They always seemed to be crystal like, and dark red like the color of blood. The candy corn looked like a deer almost, but it had a horn and always seemed to be glowing. Ordinarily, she thought it was magnificent. A week later, she decided to follow her candy corn. It was the middle of the night and the candy corn went into an orphanage. She had thought it was okay, and that perhaps the animal was going to give the children candy. In the middle of the night? She …show more content…
She walked towards the direction of the scream and the smell. That was when she saw it. The animal was tearing the young boy apart. Near the animal was a pile of bodies and a candy making bowl. The savage animal was making candy out of the young children's intestines. Consequently, it cost children their lives, so she could have candy. She was horrified to realize the truth. It was so vicious, so demon-like, it was like the time she was a little girl. The memory when she was a little girl was frightening, even to a goddess like her. She remembered it all so well, the day her brother went mad. A few mortals were climbing to Mount Olympus and they raged war, and her brother was poisoned amid battle. Insane thoughts and actions started to fill his head and he went mad. He just wouldn't stop the killing, and there was blood everywhere. Sorrow had filled Amythyst's heart every time she thought about it because she didn't get to remember her brother well enough to remember him as a person who is not crazy. Nevertheless, they had to lock him up and she never saw him again. He was never a major god, but he was minor god and still held a place in Amythyst's
This built up a lot of guilt, and to direct attention elsewhere, the people would point fingers. The people also believed that the devil lurked in the forest in the dark. Since they lived near the forest, they feared demons and the devil emerging from it. The Girls Were Sick
She drove away from the party. She made some quick stops she stopped in Churches Chicken for some food and True Value to buy a shovel. Then she went to the woods. Then got off with the shovel that she had just bought in True Value. She started digging up a hoe in the middle of the woods.
But this candy becomes a prayer for the safety of Mr. Pirzada’s daughters. Lilia’s awareness of the contrast between her situation and daughters of Mr. Pirzada is an eye opener for her to the complicated political struggle on an individual level.
She saw something move in the meadow . She was nervous but she felt brave she goes running toward the door that leads to the a beautiful meadow. She opened the door. She ran into
Anger, jealousy, and revenge greatly fuel this villain's wicked intentions. The witch states, “In the princess's fifteenth year, she shall prick herself with a spindle and fall over dead.” Her actions show how the witch has no remorse for the pain and suffering she brings to the characters in the story. Instead of taking her frustration out directly on the king and queen, she takes it out on an innocent child. Characters like this show the whole meaning of what it is to be the devil figure.
She loaded up on candy it was nice to see that something as trivial as candy could make her so excited. It
She had no stories at the dinner table because she was just a housewife. Her routine is the same everyday. Mother finally gave them a good story for the kids to hear. The kids, deliciously eating what they thought was chicken,
It resembled the stomping of something but I knew it was probably just an animal or someone who woke up in the night. All of a sudden, the iron fasteners flung off the door. The Geats jumped out of their sleep and looked toward the noise. The beast was in the door and the smell was awful. It smelled of raw flesh and I could see the slime falling off of the beast.
It reveals how people commit cruel acts out of selfish intentions. In this situation, the girls claim to “come to Heaven’s side” by pointing fingers at others for witchcraft, although they were only doing so to get themselves out of their own trouble. These acts of cruelty reflect upon the evil motives of the perpetrators that become more common after it is done once, as seen through the continuous trials and suspicions, which acts as one of the most major conflicts in the play. Without these cruel accusations, there would be neither plot nor ending. With this same situation, it can be concluded that accusations become more frequent during an interval of time when there are more people accusing.
She believed that God’s laws were higher than man’s laws so she was ‘pleasing those [she] should please most’ (Blondell, 23). While arguing with her sister, Ismene, about breaking the law, Antigone demonstrated her determination to bury her brother because she knew that it was the moral thing to do, regardless of the deadly outcome. She was willing to perform the ‘crime of piety’ (Blondell, 23) – the crime that was ‘honored by the gods’ (Blondell, 23). To her, following God’s laws was the most justified even if it meant that she had to break man’s laws, because the God’s laws were ‘not for now or yesterday, but live forever’ (Blondell, 38).
She makes excuses trying to convince her son Bailey to take them to east Tennessee. The next morning the grandmother was the first one to get in the car. She hid her cat, Pitty Sing in the car in a basket. She didn’t want the cat to be left alone while they were in Florida for three days.
(Line 546-547).” Antigone does not want her sister to experience the same glory she has worked for. She wants to be remembered as the one person who
In Greek mythology, Mount Olympus was the home of the Olympian Gods and it was created after the Overthrow of Cronus, as described in Theogony. The war lasted ten years, with the Olympian gods, Cyclopes, Prometheus and Epimetheus, the children of Klymene, on one side, and the Titans and the Giants on the other. Zeus used his thunderbolts at the Titans, throwing them into Tartarus. Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece and the second highest mountain in the Balkans. It is located in the Olympus Range on the border between Thessaly and Macedonia.
Therefore he has an urge to save her from the evils of the demons such as the priest and
Her and her sisters bicker about the sunday chores. Everyone always wants to be the one to go down to the bakery and get the bagels for brunch because the owner gives them the leftover cookies from the day before. Those cookies were like heaven on earth. They were still gooey on the inside and had a thick dark chocolate glaze on top. But this time it wasn’t her turn to go to the bakery.
