Entrepreneurs in Mauritius benefit from various non financial support sometimes unexpected ones. The non financial support usually ends up benefiting the consultants and service providers rather than the entrepreneurs itself. But at any moment, the support that the Government provides entrepreneurs is helpful and enables them to achieve big by growing up to large businesses.
Organisations such as SMEDA, MIDA and NWEC from others, provides non-financial support to new entrepreneurs and to small and medium enterprise as well.

People always think that SMEDA is an organisation that finances entrepreneurs but this is false. SMEDA only assists them. They help entrepreneurs to start from nothing to something. And this all start by providing them with trainings. SMEDA provides training on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Programs, and Skill-based Training.
The management programs helps future entrepreneurs to acquire skills such as communication skills, marketing, human resource development and managerial skills. These will make them become more productive, competitive and to acquire quality in their work.
