When the world beginning a new Era, more advance and recent technology are produced everyday including television.. According to Wikipedia, it derived the word television from Ancient Greek, “tele” means far and “vision” meaning sight. As far as we know, television contains a lot of information and entertainment unlimitedly. Today television is consider as one of the item must have in a house and we can found a set of television in every house on the earth. Without we realize, television is really meaningful in our life and it brighten our days. The television itself become a part of culture to the people. Between elders and children, children spend most of their time in front of television every day and it becomes a major routine. Then he wrote a poem called “Television” as a medium to alert the people in the world about the bad effects of watching television to the young people and encouraged youths to participate more in reading materials. In the “Television”, he criticized parents who are using television as a tool to entertain their children at home. The parents use the television to keep their children busy by watching a lot of television programs. He also told that before this, children used to read books and find the books were interesting. But now children prefer television than books without knowing that television would slowly make their brain function in wrong way. In the poem “television”, in the stanza he cannot think, he only sees means the minds or brains of children could find it is hard enough to think to find a solution and they would rather be an observer than a thinker. The children will find it is hard to imagine about imaginary and fantasy thing and slowly they forget to behave as a normal child who once love to imagine fantasy
