Veterans and our soldiers are coming home from war or getting out of the military and when they get home they can’t afford rent or they have a mental disease from war. Homeless veterans tend to experience homelessness longer than non-veteran homeless. This should not be happening to our soldiers. This is very undesirable for our troops to come home and becoming homeless. They fight for our freedom and our rights and we repay them by becoming homeless.
CONSEQUENCES OF HOMELESSNESS ON THE STATE: 1) Reduction in valuable manpower. Since some people are relegated to the background because they are homeless, this causes shortage of valuable manpower as a result of social exclusion. 2) Since people are left idle and homeless because of joblessness, they are forced to be involved in crime such as theft and pick pocketing. 3) Homelessness increases state responsibilities. This may be as a result of natural disasters like floods and landslides increase state responsibilities because the government has to provide temporary residence to victims.
Homeless are often set up for failure by these things so they end up getting into trouble and in jail by not being able to pay for such unreasonable things. Police are already viewed pretty negatively by the homeless and by doing this it just adds to the negativity. So, homeless become even more less susceptible to come to the police for help. Homeless that fining effects are often put in a position where they have no place to go because shelters are either to fall or too violent and sleeping in your car or the streets is criminalized. To conclude I think this solution to getting homeless off the street is moving in the opposite direction.
Also many homeless people have a mental illness or disability making them unable to have a job. Even those with a job are unable to make a sustainable living off it. Wages are so low that one must work at least two jobs but with housing prices being so high, it makes find a place to live extremely hard. Washington and California have some of the highest minimum wage standards but even that is not a livable wage. We as a society have simplified a solution because many of us do not understand the complex issues that these circumstances
People never help the Ewell 's family because they are rude, lazy, and they waste their money on alcohol. The Finch 's family help the African American because racism occur during that time. The people treated the African American as low self esteem people. The poor people are in poverty because of the Great Depression and they couldn 't have enough money to provide
People that are homeless or become homeless today, experience so much they are not sure what to do because they think they do not have help from anyone or somewhere to sleep. Adults are not the only people that become homeless, teenagers become homeless as well because before they turn 18 some will run away from home at least one time. While these people are sitting on the street, they experience numerous things such as abuse from other people, drugs, unemployment or not able to find a job, etc. Everyday when people drive or walk by someone thats is homeless, glancing at their sign reading what it says to make them feel sad for them. However, by doing something small for them makes an impact in someone else’s eyes.
The current government is creating a situation where more families along with their children are experiencing homelessness. An individual may be considered homeless when they lack permanent housing and have to stay in shelters, abandoned buildings or vehicles, on the streets, or in other forms of unstable situations. Many homeless people start out with jobs and stable residences, but then social and economic factors intervene, causing a rapid change in their living situation causing them to leave, and live on the street. Even with the population of homeless keeps increasing, the government does not aid nor benefit the homeless because they only worsen the homeless problem by having laws that go against homelessness, not helping mentally ill homeless population, and having the lack of subsidized housing. Homelessness is a complex social issue with a variety of economic and social factors such as poverty, lack of affordable housing, physical and mental health, addictions, and community/family breakdowns.
They have a hard time accepting them with a disability and the person has no place to go and ends up homeless. There are many other reasons why people become homeless and people need to take the time to understand them and the reasons why. People should not treat people different because someone else may have a mental illness or a disability. These kinds of people are labeled are the mentally ill and other labels are attached to them also like calling someone a homeless
Most homelessness is based from a lack of education, substance abuse, and/or unemployment. Education is life in the modern world and without that you are basically useless. There is a major substance abuse epidemic happening around the world right now and it is causing lots of people to become homeless. Along with substance abuse, people also find themselves homeless because of the recent raise in unemployment rates. Without jobs you cannot afford to live the life you want.
In the the pursuit of happiness chris went through a lot of stress that was very bad for his health and for him to put up with being homeless must of been a lot for is health and he punched and strived for what he wanted in life. As man who is single with a done and homeless but still working is very hard and a lot of people can punch themselves to do that in cause there mind set and life goes are very messed up because the stress that people have pille up and we just don’t know how to help are self so we let it get the best of us but in the end if we didn’t have stress we wouldn’t have happiness or love In Are heart for the people that we showed respect for and and Chris has given a lot of people respect and kinds cause there’s not one time when he has said no to anything because he had a heart for love and respect all because of stress got the best of him and he found himself and he didn’t let it get to his head like most people would. In the movie they zoomed up a lot to his face where u can really see the stress affecting his identity as a person and you can really see up close how his eyes looked really tired and his skin getting darker because he wasn’t getting the right showers he needed a day because he lived on the
It makes some people believe that the government is not caring about the veterans and are focusing on some other issue. There are multiple factors that can lead a veteran to become homeless. One of the biggest issues is “The psychic wounds caused by combat will reverberate over the coming years and in some cases lead to homelessness.”(Peck). In Peck view, the main cause of veterans becoming homeless is because of the injuries the troops might have received during combat. In his eyes, the brave men and women are not receiving the best quality treatment and support.
Many people are not happy with the things they own because it is “too much” of they have and it is not worth keeping it. However, they have spent money on it therefore, they cannot throw it out easily or they could have stored memories within it. Similarly, in the article “The Class Politics of Decluttering” by Stephanie Land, published on July 18, 2016, suggests how Marie Kondo’s tidying up methods do not give joy. Land explains how throwing away things make you sad because they are not only the things which require space, but the memories that you have created with them. Land defines nostalgia as a sad emotion because she has to throw away her stuff to have enough space in her house.
Homelessness in baltimore is extremely sad and pitiful. Many people are homeless due to the fact they might have lost their job or they don’t have enough funds to provide for their family and pay for an adequate home. Some people just refuse to pay for rent, this will cause eviction from the home. This is what lead to homelessness, and its sad. Everyday on my way to school I see homeless people begging for change or laying down on the sidewalk.
Homelessness is one the most ignored problems in the United States with citizen and politician. Homeless people are walked by and ignored. Nobody ever thinks that they will be homeless. Due to the economy, people live paycheck to paycheck making house payments very difficult. Most people will want to believe most homeless people are drug addicts or alcoholics, but most people will be surprise to know that it is no all true.
Candy is also oppressed in a social inequality as he is afraid that when he is too old to work, he will be thrown out of the “ash heap”, a victim of a society that discriminates against the disabled and has no value for age or experience. The “Suitcase Lady” portrays a different social inequality that leaves the reader feeling sympathetic. Financial Burden. “We never got along well because I didn’t bring him up. I was too poor.
