Connections will help us extend beyond our usual comfort zone and provide tools to accomplish great things during our time at Utah State University. Just like Grua and his team had to try something that had never been done before, we too will have to try new things. We may feel intimidated going to class for the first time or timid to approach someone we would like to get to know. We will be pleased with our efforts when we have accomplished new and exciting things and we will be glad we invested the effort.

I cannot wait to work with the kind and welcoming people whose demeanor mirrors that of the northwest. The beautiful landscapes, wide variety of activities and hiking opportunities draw me to the state. I love thinking back of the time I have spent in Arizona with my family and friends and am excited to make my way back as a student of Northern Arizona and to serve Arizona as a future medical

I was ecstatic, happy, and nervous, but I knew I made the right choice and every day after that has been fantastic. I played sports every season, I joined clubs, and most importantly found happiness. As a person who lost a loved one to cancer, I have desired to find a way to cure such an illness. Seeing the type of pain people endure inspires me try to use my life to find way to relieve their pain. The way I want to do this is by developing new pharmaceuticals through research on cancer stem cells. The vast field of chemical engineering would help me reach my full potential in enhancing medical drug discovery. I believe that Texas A&M would provide me with all the tools I could need to pursue my chemical engineering degree, as well as other aspects of engineering I may want to pursue as well.

encountered so many other black people from the Islands, from other parts of Africa, from the United Kingdom, and much more. By meeting these individuals, I have learned and experienced many other parts black culture that I had not previously known. Also, with such a large number of different cultures, we can establish extracurricular clubs and activities that can make us more aware of the cultural diversity within the black community. In addition, I am filled with joy seeing all the amazing things that my African American peers accomplish at HBCUs. There was once a time that we would have been beaten or killed by simply trying to become educated so to see so many black students on the campuses of HBCUs who are accomplishing so much it makes me extremely proud.
Part of attending college is experiencing new things and meeting new people. Miami-Dade College holds students from all over the world and the college friendships I am making today are extremely important since most college friendships are long lasting. I strongly believe the experiences I will have in college will make a significant difference in my life. Along with making new friends, the college experience will offer me the opportunity to do some networking as well. Many successful people that have graduated from colleges and universities have credited their success to the connections they made while studying and I truly believe those connections made in the school will facilitate the job search.
As a student at Wellesley College, I hope to accomplish two main things, one of which is to create lifelong friendships. As an introvert, it is sometimes hard for me to go out and make new friends. I have found that having a few close, meaningful friendships is better than trying to be friends with everyone. At Wellesley, I hope to make a few lifelong friends, which should not be too hard due to the broad range of people who attend the school. My mother is an alumna of Wellesley College, and I know she is still in touch with friends she made during her time at Wellesley.
It’s a fun community to live with and the best part of sophomore
