The Raven Essay Edgar Allan Poe was not only smart but a writer & poet. The middle name “Allan” came from his new parents. Edgar’s parents passed away, He was separated from his brother & sister. His new family took him to England. In England The Allans provided Poe with a strong education which is one of the reasons why Poe is who he symbolizes today. The raven is a bird that Edgar Allan Poe found interest in. Poe found the bird to be very unique, mainly everytime Poe said something the bird would respond saying “Nevermore”.
