I believe everyone has a special place in their mind that they think about. I had such a place that made me happy a lot of times when I was growing up. Sometimes I wondered if I was the only person who liked that place as much as I did and I always ask myself if the place will be as I remember it when if I go back to visit it. I always saw people there, but always wonder if they appreciated it as much as I did. Some would walk through and some would have a picnic, others would stop and look for a while. This place meant so much to me because I was able to go and meet my friends, hang out and even met girlfriends there; I love this part of the county because there you get to see all four seasons. You get to grow up there and not only have your own family, but see the families of the friends you grew up with. This place will always have great memories from my childhood and even part of my adulthood. This part of the country is in a suburb of Chicago called …show more content…
I liked to go there and just sit on the grass, feel the wind blowing, see the leaves moving and changing colors. I liked to go there sometimes for no reason at all other than to just hang out and collect my thoughts. I knew that was a good place to go to forget who I am and any responsibilities I had. That was the only place I could go to where I could be alone or be with friends and still have a great time. That place became part of who I was. I went there even in the winter to play with the snow, shoe skate on the creek after it froze, or build snowmen. During winter my town and my park was still such an amazing place to be. My trees had branches full of white snow. The grass and most of the animals were gone for the winter, also the rock I would sit on was cold and hard to sit on, but was still a peaceful place to
Mainly because that and family is what made me the person I am today. It gave me the life I have because everyone sticks together and is willing to help whoever and whenever they are needed. Growing up in Texas had many great things about it. But having the love and friendships that I did while living there was the best thing I could ever
It is where our father ' father and his father 's father and so many generations before made their lives, and it is our duty to make our life there and the lives of our children and our children 's
For me, the South was so different from the laid-back pace of Honolulu but, in some ways, they had a lot in common. Savannah, GA has beaches and islands scattered near it 's coastline. Hawaii and Georgia each are obsessed with their regional fruits. Both places are filled with military servicemen and their families. Needless to say, I don 't feel like I truly have a "hometown" but, instead, I can make any town my home.
Not much happened there, but I did manage to find some adventure going into the Grand Canyon when I could. My parents always told me to be safe, which I was. One day as I was touring a seemingly deserted area, I had stumbled upon a cave. I guess I had wandered off too far because I had no clue where I was, but that didn't mat-ter ,
A journey to remember One of the best ways to experience the serenity of this beautiful place - somehow desolate yet lush, tropical and foreboding - is by paddling the network of waterways that skirt the northwest portion of the park. The Everglades National Park trip is no less than a treat to the eyes, one will cherish his/her entire life. When in Everglades,
I feel in love with the people there, the nice resorts I stayed at, and the different food I had. However, a part of me missed home. I missed my dad, my friends and my bed. Once I was finally back home in Minnesota, I sat and reflected on my trip.
Last summer, I traveled to Yellowstone National Park and it was breathtaking. I remember pulling into the park and just breathing in the smell of pine trees. As we were driving through the lush, green trees two brown bears emerged from the woods and calmly crossed the street. Later, we drove up the mountain and could see the entire park. It was an unforgettable sight, I saw everything from the various mountains to the pines and I could even see Old Faithful.
Throughout my life, I have traveled to many different cities in the United States. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to experience staying in a different country or foreign culture for an extended period. One experience that I experienced culture shock in would be my travels to Mississippi. About six years ago, I joined my grandmother’s family in their travel to her native hometown of Holly Springs, Mississippi to visit her relatives.
It has been my go to place when things got rough as I was older, to where I can just play a game or practice to take my mind off of things. I am a young adult, who has lost his mother as a child, and whose father was never in his life. I have a large family and I love each and every one of them, even if there are some who tend to
Drip by Drop Your memory is a place that is sacred, it is where your imagination runs wild. Your favorite place may be the same feel as your favorite book. Your memory defines your sense of direction. Literature and place are both written and seen very descriptively, but you never see what isn 't there. The wind, for example, shows how your imagination can place you in a special atmosphere.
It provides a relaxing environment for you to just be to yourself. No beep of a phone and nobody else is there. Nature is a mental medic. Everybody likes to socialize and have constant interaction. We are scheduled and organized .
A Life In Washington When I was young, Washington seemed like an endless world of nature and industry clashing together. This world had a very distinct diversity and lifestyle, which would have the drastic affects on my look on life. Without Washington, I would not have developed my appreciation of nature, my ability to put myself back together and the importance of family.
The drive was almost unbearable, but the thought of spending the week in the snow with family kept me going. It was only a four hour drive, but at 9 years old, it felt like an eternity. The scenery slowly changed from flat land, to rolling hills. The hills were covered in yellow dying grass, but they were still beautiful. Then we started to make the climb.
Throughout my childhood growing up in Miami Fl, was an amazing experience, it’s unique variety of cultures spread through one city is absolutely mind blowing. Although there was one thing one my mind at all times. One thing I never experienced was living out west and getting away from the Miami life. Its kind of hard to believe someone would prefer living out west, in the middle of nowhere than along a beach shoreline. As a matter of fact, living out west had become one of my priorities when I was making my college decision.
After we had heard about the lake once we kept hearing about it more and more. Nothing ever said about the lake was bad, so my mom decided to look it up. From the pictures it seemed like a super fun vacation spot so we decided to book a lake house and try it out! We were almost to Smith Lake and we ride across this huge bridge over the lake. The pictures from the internet were beautiful but, seeing the lake in person was awesome.
