Everybody knows that knowledge of foreign languages is very important nowadays. It opens a lot of doors for you. It also gives you many opportunities and possibilities. People say "Knowledge is power". Nowadays to know a foreign language is necessary for every person, though learning a foreign language takes a lot of time and efforts. We must work hard to learn a foreign language. Visiting a foreign country you will have no difficulty communicating with other people. Knowledge of foreign languages helps to promote cultural, educational and technical cooperation among nations. It is an official language in over 40 countries. Knowing English is essential in many companies. Workers who speak it fluently are valued. English is a wonderful language. It is the native language of William Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Jack London, Ernest Hemingway, Jonathan Swift, Walter Scott and other well-known writers. One of the most famous poets Goette once said: "He, who knows no foreign language, doesn't know his own one". If we want to feel well in our world we must know English. It is the language of the Internet and TV, we can find instructions in English at the stations or airport. Today English became a very important part of modern culture because it is also the language of most of the songs. What is more, we also use some English words when we speak our own - Ukrainian
