Drunk Driving is something that truly puts fear in my heart. Every time I get in a car, I pray that a drunk driver would not be on the road while I am on it. It currently contributes to my fear of getting behind the wheel, even though I have a permit. Drunk Driving accidents still happen, despite the efforts of law enforcement. If I had an opportunity to make a law, I would make one that helps not just those who are sober and on the road but also those who are drunk driving. My law is drastic and could be hard for people to handle but I would ban alcohol altogether. They would not be allowed to be sold any where and all production would be halted. My parents currently don’t drink and they prove that alcohol is not a necessity to have a good time. People these days think that alcohol is required to have fun and that is not the case. The person who hit our car was not declared officially drunk but when I got out of the car I can tell. I have extended family members who drink at family gatherings so the symptoms were not hard to recognize.The only injury was neck pain which I still struggle with but the accident really shook me up. My friends mom had one wheel in my driveway before the accident occurred We almost made it all the way home with no issues but my friends mom could not fully pull into the driveway because a car pushed us down the street. We drove down the turnpikes and types of highways that day and I can’t believe that the accident happened at the last stop.The accident could've been worse but I am thankful that it was not. The entire back window of the car was shattered and the car door on my side was destroyed.
