Have you ever wondered what life would be like without the use of technology? We use technology everyday and it surrounds our daily lives. Whether we are soaking up some shape or form of media such as watching TV, listening to the radio, being on our phones, playing on our laptops, or doing our last minute laundry, we are constantly using technology. Many people don't realize how much technology has affected our daily lives. Does this new wave of technology bring positive aspects or negative? The answers vary. People need to assess their lives and acknowledge the excessive amount of technology they might be using. Technology has taken the world by storm. High Schools have distributed laptops to all their students, iPhones and iPads are common. Social media such as facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat is seen as “normal”. A ¨normal¨ being something that everyone has and is expected to have. Someone without any of these is seen as an outsider or antisocial. Teenagers especially are always with their phones, yes, but would they really suffer without them? Most people see these electronics as negative distractors. But in all honesty most teenagers are fine without their phone, they chose not to leave it. A study done by Pew Research Center, looked at the positive effects of technology on families. The study says that married couples with younger children have higher rates of Internet and cell phone usage, computer ownership, and broadband adoption than other kinds of households.
