It took eight years to defeat six times relocation in five countries, and family and financial commitments to finally catch up the MBA flight, fasten my seatbelt, and pursue my dream journey.
Throughout my seventeen years work experience, I gained an immersive programming and analytical expertise in Oracle ERP tools and framework. Particularly cultivated my hard skills vertically and confidently facing the technical challenges. I am grateful for each person added value to me; it evolved my character.
The biggest confrontation I face and still is; how to grow my soft skills horizontally. I had two options; the first option was to study separate courses in business development aiming to relink between each course based on my personal skills,

Finally, I learned the lesson the hard way when I had my grades, at that time I knew I was obliged to revise my time management. By reaching Marketing; the module was amusing and joyful with vivid succinct videos and painless to grasp theories where Operations Management (OM) was analogous to my engineering background and adjacent to my expertise. Proactively, I started pre-reading text and study books and even selected my assignment cases. It saved me substantial time to digest the course material; it helped in focusing, applying the theories, and discussing with the tutor and the …show more content…
In fact, I applied the same with my kids, and remarkably they evolved and responded. I start to reflect what I practiced in MPD in my personal, career, and academic views. I believe I reached an integrated view and achieved life balance after self-assessment and apprehending my strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, retaining strengths and evolve from one side and working on weaknesses from another side.
Personally, I am developing my reactions and responses towards my kids to become more relaxing and experienced in the parenting games. Furthermore deeper harmonized and compassionate with my soul mate, and more sympathetic and supportive to my
Time management has been one of the most substantial hurdles of my scholastic and professional career. Many of us waste our time on things that are neither important nor necessary, instead of using that time for something of that is meaningful. To capitalize on the use of time management strategies and reach my Doctoral Business Administration (DBA) program goals. I will execute two specific time management strategies, for example, accessing and planning a weekly schedule while adjusting my daily schedule. My identity has always felt inextricably linked to what Miami is. A city that is teeming with immigrants, a city with dreams stacked and slopped atop each other, and a city that is living proof of the failed American dream. I say so because of my early observation that generation after generation of immigrants often seemed to stay trapped in dead end jobs; I saw this within my own family – within my grandmother, my aunts and uncles, and even my cousins. Here it was even within my own family tree the deep implicit message that there was no way out of our socioeconomic level. When I made it into an Ivy League college, it was a message that was slowly re-enforced by the fact that my demographic was the most represented in the custodial staff rather than within my own classmates.
On my father’s first day in America, he was shoved into a compact 1-person apartment along with two other refugees and was merely granted $19 a week to accommodate for basic expenses, including food and transportation. Despite such desperate circumstances, he maintained an optimistic outlook, and while hard times were ahead, my father knew that new opportunities were also awaiting him in the land where the American Dream thrives. My father initially left Vietnam as a last desperate hope to escape Vietnam’s strict communist government, where a future of military service was inevitable for young boys, who came from families of lower social statuses. As an orphan, my father fell victim to poverty and suffered from food insecurity and insufficient
I want to be the person to give them all of the information about growing up, and leading them into a good path. As the oldest sibling, I always want to see them do well and be happy. In the same sense, when I teach them new things everyday, they teach me new things everyday as well. I believe that with all that I’ve been through with taking care of all of them, that I am pretty prepared for what my future holds. At the least, I know I will be ready to care for a child of my own.
My long and short term goals had shaped my aspirations and who I am as a person today. My experiences are unforgettable and I will surely take all the observations and knowledge I had gained to create a happy and successful life for myself and
I believe college will change that. Also, I wish to become a better man. With the absence of my father, I had no one to teach me how to be a man and really take care of my responsibilities. It is hard for a mother to teach her son how to be a man, therefore my goal is to become an outstanding man that can handle business and take care of his family. That is my ultimate goal and in return I will teach my son and he will represent for our family name.
I know learning about myself continues and how easy you can slightly revert back to old attitudes and behaviours because I did not speak about my goals in depth in my PDP presentation. Before I was due to present my presentation I changed some content. The reason being I listen to peers and not my own judgment. They told me that the goals I had set myself, weren’t the ones
Therefore, I learned a lot from my experience and I feel confident that I will be able to apply my skills to my personal life, academic journey and professional
Introduction- My case study is about Personal Social and Emotional Development (PSED) and the importance of it in the lives of children and the key role it plays as part of their growth and development. The child I am observing is a 3 years 8 months old girl called Emily. She lives at home with both of her parents and an older brother who is 10. Her father is Irish and works fulltime 5 days a week and her Mother is Spanish and works at the weekends.
Also consideration feedback received on my work has helped me correct my weaknesses and further develop my strengths in the future. Overall, I am satisfied with my progress, but I am also aware that there is always space for improvement and I feel prepared to go into the workplace. I believe my experiences at university have increased my employability and feel that I have a lot to offer to employers, because of the professional and personal development that has occurred in the last three
Katie’s success in her company is due to her different positions she took: “having different jobs before I opened my own company helped me to widen my skill sets; to be flexible and adaptable to change; to be creative in my thinking; and to trust my own ability to learn what I needed to grow my business”. Some skills needed for the profession are being able to speak and write clearly, to listen to the needs of clients and respond to those, and to follow through on all promises to engender trust. Adaptability and the ability to work effectively individually and collaboratively is also a skill that you will learn in your experience in and out of school. Skills and tools are made through the process of learning and will grow exponentially if you take the classes, internships, and inquire about

Who am I, where am I going, and how do I plan to get there? That is a really good question. To begin with, I am the only child of Martha Ramirez and Rosario Ramirez. I come from a family where not a lot have finished school, but are grateful for what they do have. Throughout my life I have learned to be grateful for everything that I have, to be someone in life, and to follow your heart no matter the situation.
Ironically, for most of the people soft skills are the hardest to develop. Soft skills are different from other skills in the sense that unlike others, these cannot be completely indulged or crammed by anybody. These are fundamental for business and professional success. Corporate training and educational universities focus more on providing a technological, corporate and industrial information to their individuals in spite of the fact that these are the core elements for an employee to succeed in a business operation and businesses may
