I think the style of clothes during the fifties were so classy and elegant, it made me very intrigued. I also thought it was very interesting that women wore gloves everywhere they went during this time. In the style of clothing today, I see some influences from the 1950s. I notice how many dresses are becoming more slimming in the waistline, accentuating the hourglass shape, like the style in the 1950’s. I’ve also seen the style of the cropped
I wear skinny jeans and t-shirts on the regular, I enjoy wearing makeup and I love anything with sparkles. But through my adolescent years, I have asked myself, why do I wear what all the other girls wear? I slowly began to understand why: my cultural identity is influenced by my group of friends at school, what I see in the magazines I read and the celebrities
I did not have a lot of friends that were girls because I was considered unladylike and a bad influence, so I hung out with the boys. As I got older, I craved acceptance. I tried to be someone I was not for friends. I threw out all my clothes and dressed as a girl was supposed to. My closet changed from skinny jeans and t-shirts to skirts and blouses.
By staying modern, you could keep up with simple trends like, silhouette, colors and proportion that do not affect your unique style. For example, the color burgundy is currently in trend, you could create an outfit with the garments that might have burgundy in
This is a classic haircut that will take this lady throughout the day. It took me a long time to realize that I had been conditioned to think otherwise. But despite all this, I still find my style leaning to the slightly more masculine side. This outfit I have described feels like the most accurate representation of me that I can give, and when I wear this outfit, I feel confident; I know that I look good, and I’m comfortable and casual as well. My hair was always random colors and my makeup was always done. My parents hated this phase in my life, but they let it happen with only a few jokes over family dinner. Growing up, my little brother and I shared a room and toys. I grew up playing with ninja turtles and barbies. My parents were fine with however I wanted to dress as long as I was happy.
If everyone is wearing the same clothes then no one should get bullied from their clothes. Just imagine waking up and not stressing and taking an hour to get dressed. I will admit I wake up in the morning and worry about what to wear and what people will think of my outfit. It makes me very self conscious when getting
