I remember back in high school when I was trying to figure out my identity. I tried a couple of different styles to see which worked best. One of these styles stuck with me through the years and I still wear this style most days because of how lazy and simple it is. I typically always was running late in the morning, so I got in the habit of grabbing the first clothes that I saw. I would describe my style as the “scene kid” or “emo kid” style. My style consisted of band t-shirts, V-necks, skinny jeans, Converse shoes, and Vans shoes. I tend to wear a lot of darker colors, like black, blue, gray, brown, purple, and red. I don’t have too much money to spend on clothes and some of my shirts were hand-me-downs from my two older brothers. Also being tall but slim, I have to order most of my jeans online and those break the bank quick. Another part of my style is my face. I take really good care of my skin and most days wear a little bit of makeup. I depends on how my skin is looking, but I usually just fill in my eyebrows and apply a little bit of loose powder in my T-zone to prevent oil and shine through the day. As a guy, a lot of people might look at that and think that makeup is only for girls. Some people might not notice that I wear makeup. What I think this says about my style is that I do care a little bit about how I look. As a normal person in their 20s, I do get the occasion acne and oily skin, but I like to look nice. I talked to my fiancé and my mom about what they thought about my style. My mom thought that my style showed that I’m well-kept and practice good hygiene. She also thinks that since I care more about my hair and skin normally, that I’m not as concerned with picking out the “perfect”
