Hitler’s main target was the Jews (Meltzer 16). The Holocaust is a time in history when millions of people were persecuted in Europe by being sent to live in ghettos and eventually being deported to concentration camps where they were systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining survivors. Hitler considered the Jewish people an inferior race compared to his superior race (Meltzer 15-16). Jews started to be forced to move to ghettos as a second way of
The Holocaust was the most catastrophic event of the time period. According to website history.com staff in their article “The Holocaust”, 11 million people overall were killed in the Holocaust. Did you know that eleven million people died in the holocaust? Six million of those people were Jews. The Jews were captured and taken to concentration camps because the Nazis simply hated them. Concentration camps were made to kill off all of the Jews. They did this because they saw them as a problem to Germany.
A train took them there and if they try to escape, they would be shot at. Jews had to work at concentration camps with horrible treatments while Jews at death camps would be killed by guns or poison gas and some would be experimented on. The Nazi’s tried to keep their mass killings of Jews a secret. However, when the war ended, the world was shown the horrific places the Nazi’s had built and the people were horrified of Germany’s actions.
The victims of the holocaust will always be remembered as strong victims that were murdered by vicious monsters, the Nazis. Some of the major camps were Auschwitz, Belzec, Bergen-Belsen, and Buchenwald.
The Auschwitz concentration camp deported at least 1.3 million people to the complex, out of which 1.1 million were murdered in cruel and inhumane ways until the camp’s liberation by the Soviets on January 27, 1945. The idea of the “final solution” was implemented by the infamous leader of the Nazi party, Adolf Hitler. This brutal regime leader soon became, “convinced that his “Jewish problem” would be solved only with the elimination of every Jew in his domain, along with artists, educators, Gypsies, communists, homosexuals, the mentally and physically handicapped and others deemed unfit for survival in Nazi Germany” (History.com). It is difficult to find an accurate number of the people that were transported and killed in Auschwitz. When the Jews first arrived at the camp, they were separated into two lines.

This force, which was ordered and led by Heinrich Himmler, used revolting and fearsome methods in order to punish those in Germany who did not fit into Hitler’s concept of a clean ‘Aryan’ race, such as Jews and homosexuals and those who did not tolerate or believe in the Nazi’s ideologies, all possible without a need for evidence. Millions of others, consisting of men, woman and children were sent to concentration camps with dreadful and unsuitable conditions and were forced into hard labour. These inhumane actions done by the Gestapo members were all in an attempt to defeat and target those who criticise the Nazi’s views and overall play an important role in maintaining Nazi control over German society by letting fear drain the German
Inmates were broken after this relentless torture; we wonder why there wasn’t a mass revolt within the camps, and this is probably why, they had no will to resist oppression anymore. The sickest part of this all is that of the mass dehumanization played surprisingly by the entire people of Deutschland, now not all people played these sick game; most of the aggression was enforced by the German army. Moishe the Beadle was one of the first to experience this cruelty, “The Jews were ordered to get off... They were forced to dig huge trenches. ...
