Throughout history there have been many Empires with their own history and culture. The Mughal and Ottoman Empires were both very significant empires that existed in the early modern period. The Mughal empire was located in current day South Asia in the 16th to the 19th centuries. The Ottoman empire on the other hand began from the base area in northwestern Anatolia and continued to spread to the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeastern Europe in between the 14th and early 20th century. They both established themselves as a Islamic Empire. They both were quite religiously tolerant and had different religions in their empires. In the Mughal Empire many people practiced Hinduism and made up a large part of the population. In the beginning The Mughal Empire with Akbar as its ruler had constructed a special House of Worship in which many discussions were carried out between many religions including Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism. Although later with Aurangzeb as its ruler, it had taken some measures to restrict some Hindu holidays. He also demanded for taxes and although some people might see this specific demand as unfair, I beg to differ as Muslims are enforced to pay much more tax on charity than non muslims who have to pay jizya as a sign of peace. Similarly, the Ottoman Empire also enforced jizya and also had much religious tolerance. They took over much of Europe and thus the main religions in it were mostly Christianity and Judaism. Many Christians actually rathered the Ottoman rule as the taxes were lighter and the oppression was much less than Christian rulers. The Aztec Empire like Ottomans and the Mughals existed in the same time period 1428-152 and share some common points despite the vast difference in culture. Like the Ottomans and the Mughals the Aztecs were also a strong force compared to its neighbors terrifying outside powers who lived nearby. All three Empires relayed on war to expand its borders and influence. The Aztecs and the Ottomans also both had system that allowed for talented commoners to move up the ranks.
