In addition to that it followed the same theme The Outsiders, is a book and movie about a group of boys. 82% of people who read or watched it would say they liked it. The author of the book S.E Hinton was still in highschool when she wrote it. In the book and movie there are alot of things that impact the storyline and the plot including things like, Johnny killing Bob, Ponyboy and Johnny saving kids from a fire and more. The movie was an effective adaptation of the book because it contained all of the major through the book as well as through the movie. There is evidence all throughout the book and movie of this like when Johnny was stuck in the fire and Dallas saved him by pulling him out, and when Johnny stabbed Bob and Pony-Boy stayed with him and went to the church, and when the bi rumble between the Socs and the greasers happened Pony-Boy insisted on going with to fight in it, and at the very beginning when Pony-Boy was jumped and the gang showed up to help him. The book and the movie showed these themes in different ways though.
