Television has been America's favorite pastime since it was created in 1927. Back then, the only Television people could see was in a movie theater. Television has come a long way from that giant box that sat in your living room, that only got black and white TV. After Television was invented, only a small amount of Americans had their own television.
Television was invented in a small house in San Francisco September 7th, 1927 by Philo Taylor Farnsworth. He was 21 when he first invented the Television. The television has been around for eighty eight years and will evolve in the next ten years. Television first was a giant box like the ones from the 1970’s but now tv’s are flat, and more advanced. Television used to have low definition and no color now we have HD TV’s, 3D and color. The first thing ever put on television was a video of a man playing the violin, in black and white. Mr. Farnsworth didn’t introduce the television to the public until 1934. Why did he wait so long to release his invention to the world? Nobody knows. Even though the negatives power over the positives of television, it is still good to watch!

Television will evolve in the next ten years. It may evolve into something better or it may get worse. Television will be the end to schools, math and other things needed to keep civilization going. Television has been known to teach English from watching TV. Without television the world would not be able to run. Because news wouldn't get to the public fast enough and people need
In her book, The Worst Years of Our Lives, Barbara Ehrenreich asserts that “modern people, i.e., couch potatoes, do nothing that is ever shown on television” (22-24). That is an audacious statement. Is it reasonable to assume that anyone who watches television is indolent and does nothing with their life? Of course not. While anything in excess in not healthy, categorizing all modern people as "couch potatoes" is a harsh generalization that weakens Ehrenreich 's argument.
Baseball has been widely considered as "America's game" for quite a while now, but has changed dramatically from 1876. The television helped make baseball popular across America, bats and balls players used had majorly evolved to benefit them, and rules have drastically changed which changed the way players played the game. Baseball wouldn't be the sport it is today if none of this happened. The television was a major part of baseball's evolution.
Howard (2002) states that all early practitioners have to realise how play is vital in children development. When children are offered playing opportunities they are also given the opportunity to develop in their communication and language. A practitioner can support a child in communication and language by planning activities such as role play whereby the children will be socialising and hence communicating either with other children or the member of staff to describe what they are doing in the role play and they have to be encouraged to talk as children find playing is having fun. The children might find it easier to talk while playing and socialising. Fisher (2010) points out how play supports children’s learning and stating that when children play together with other children they get to talk and argue or express their point of view, hence, this will make them confident to speak out and therefore, these children will be gaining skills in talking and
In the early 1960s Newton Minow, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission and later, chairman of the board of PBS, once described television as a vast wasteland. He also said, When television is good, nothing is better. When it 's bad, nothing is worse.
The reporters in the early 1900s had to be very detailed and descriptive in order for people to know what they were talking about. Today, we have televisions that broadcast all of the news stories. Many Americans sit in front of the TV every day for entertainment. Now we have everything we need right around us. The TV has a major impact on our society.

The television was a family activity in the 1960’s, back then every member of the family would gather around and watch the television. The television used to be in black in white before color television was invented.
n Barbara Ehrenreich’s The Worst Years of Our Lives, she highlights a significant infection festering in American Culture: television as a main event, or only event in a day. As she says “you never see people watching tv”, and that happens because it truly isn’t entertaining. It substitutes for a life. The television has been pulling people into an allusion of a false reality and a seemingly boring life since its implementation. She essentially illustrates the negative impact television has on todays society.

After Muntz sold his TVs for cheaper, all competitors dropped their prices too. By the end of 1949 there were nine million TV sets in
Television Violence Television has had an enormous contribution on how the world has changed and how we perceive it. There are hundreds of channels and a vast variety of genres to choose from in just a click of a button; however what you choose can really have an effect on you. People believe that television violence has a negative effect on society because it promotes violence. No doubt, I can agree with what these people believe, that television violence does have an effect on society because people will become more vulnerable, children will become more liable and people will become more aggressive involuntarily. Vulnerability is something that we should not show, as it is a sign of weakness.
