The flag of Chile means a lot to their country. The national flag of Chile consists of two unequal horizontal bands of white and red and a blue square the same height as the white band in the canton, which bears a five-pointed star in the center. Blue stands for the sky and the Pacific Ocean. White symbolizes the snow-covered Andes. Red represents the bloodshed and sacrifices of citizens to receive independence. The star represents the guide to progress and honor. The star also stresses the fact that Chile is a Unitarian republic, not a federal republic.
Chile is a country along the west coast of South America that covers 291,930 square miles. Chile is rich in tradition, culture, and history. To cover a brief history of Chile, the Inca ruled northern Chile while Mpauche inhabited central and southern Chile. This was before the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. Chile received its independence in 1810, although it was not completely decided until they won a decisive battle over the Spanish in 1818. In the War of the Pacific, Chile won its northern parts. In the 1880s, the Mapuche were finally brought under central government control. The Marxist government of Salvador Allende was overthrown in 1973. Many times instead of piernas de pollo (chicken legs) my family would use res (beef) as a different source of meat. The dish itself is really anything I want it to be and although there is no specific recipe to caldo de pollo, it is the foundation of my entire Latinx family. This one dish brings mi
Growing up in a Mexican household, the food we ate always had a spice to it. Whether the spice was on the side or already prepared in the food, my food always had a spice to it. My grandma’s favorite signature spice was her Pico De Gallo. Pico de Gallo also called salsa Fresca, is made from chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, fresh Serrano’s (jalapeños or habaneros are used as alternatives), salt, and key lime juice. At first I did not like Pico de Gallo because I couldn’t bear how spicy it was.
The plaza is named after the 15th governor of the state of Arizona and his term was the shortest term in office, 5 months, for any Arizona governor. The colors red and gold come from the colors carried by the Spanish expedition. The bottom half of the flag is the same liberty blue as the United States flag.

This American flag is our nation's icon, it represents our country. Our national anthem is a recognition of the history, the traditions, and the struggles of the american people. Our flag represents our freedom as Americans and is supported by our National anthem. We, as Americans, have been granted this freedom from the brave men and women who put on the uniform everyday and serve our country; whether they are in a police uniform, paramedics, firefighters, army, navy, etc. they are serving our country, with the courage that some of us may lack, in order to keep our country safe and ultimately
The United States flag is an emblem. An emblem with many facets that mean starkly different things depending on the perspective, some not so pleasant. In the beginning with the best of intentions at heart this nation was founded and our flag stood for liberty, freedom, and justice for all. As the years have passed the meaning has shifted and molded to fit the ever changing ideology of those who call the United States home. ????
The three horizontal stripes of equal height, alternating red and white, with a blue square two-thirds the height of the flag as a canton. The Confederate Flag, which stood for the Confederacy during 1861-1865. Once the American Civil War ended, there has been private and official use of the flag. The flag commonly recognized the symbol of the Southern United States, or also known as the “rebel flag.” Within the 21st century the confederate flag has now become highly divisive symbol in the United States.
As I recited the pledge of allegiance every day in school, I never really took into consideration what the United States stands for to me. I never acknowledged how much the flag means to our country. The United States flag is a symbol of freedom to all who live here. It shows how we are free to do what we please.
Our world is so enormous that all the land there is on the earth, is divided by individual countries. Each country has their flag, anthem and other items that make them unique as a entire country. For instance, I believe that the Canadian flag is well known for the simplicity, its colours and the maple leaf. Three different columns divide it.
When I look at this flag, I am reminded of all the people who have worked so hard and gave up their lives just so that I could live mine. If it were not for all the brave soldiers who fought for our freedom and liberty that I would be privileged enough to live the life I live. This freedom has provided me with the ability to express my values, pursue my dreams, and live my life without fear. I love the American flag because I love the freedom it has provided along with loving the people who sacrificed their lives so that I could live mine in freedom. Being an American has taught me that this flag signifies the huge community and my part in it.
In my opinion, I would say that California’s flag has the best design because there are no other flags that look similar to it. The California flag is white with a thick horizontal red stripe on the bottom, a red star on its right side and a grizzly bear on green grass. The Texas flag’s design contains one blue vertical stripe that has a width equal to one-third the length of the flag with a five-pointed star located in the center of the blue stripe and the two equal horizontal stripes, the upper stripe white, the lower stripe red, and each having a length equal to two-thirds the length of the flag. Its bold colors are easy to distinguish and its design is very clean making it easy to picture its details. Although the Texas flag is easy to see from afar, it could be easily mistaken by Chile’s national flag and so in my opinion lacks that unique design.
Uruguay is the second-smallest nation in South America, right after Suriname. Uruguay was inhabited by the charrua people for around 4,000 years before the Portuguese invaded. In the early 18th century Montevideo was founded as a military stronghold by the Spanish.
