In the play Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare, Lord Capulet is introduced with a respectful and kind attitude towards his daughter; however, immediately after the death of Tybalt, he becomes much more aggressive and his respect and love for Juliet ceases. In the first section of the play, Capulet discusses Juliet in a thoughtful and favourable way, evidently expressing the love he has for her.
