The Roman Empire was one of the greatest empires and the biggest at the time. The Roman Empire stretched north as far as modern day Scotland. It went down through Europe and east into Asia, as far as the border between modern day Iraq and Iran. Its southern borders extended into northern Africa. The Roman Empire was the biggest empire until it fell. Rome fell when the Barbarians invaded the empire during the A.D. 400s.
Why did Rome Fall? What are the main reasons why this happened? The Roman Empire started in 750 BCEand ended in the 5th century. Rome was located in the middle east, Northern Africa. It was also located in the Mediterranean region, western Europe.
There were many reasons why the Roman empire collapsed. Rome’s empire was in parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa. In 117 CE, Rome was the strongest empire in the world. The empire didn’t exist a few centuries later. The Roman empire collapsed because the population decreased, too many emperors were assassinated, and Rome was too big.
At the beginning of the first millennium CE, the Roman Empire began to conquer the territory around the Mediterranean Sea. Smaller countries feared the Roman Empire because of their great strength. The Roman Empire acquired great wealth, territories, and a reputation as a strong and feared empire. But, as time passed the problems within the Empire accumulated and the state of Roman Empire began to deteriorate before collapsing in 476 CE.
Poor military, mistrust in the government, and the overwhelming size lead to the fall of the Roman Empire. Poor military decisions contributed to the downfall of the Roman Empire. In C 450 CE, the Roman military leaders made a poor decision by letting the military decide on taking away armor (Document 3). This caused more soldiers to be killed in battle because they didn’t have the proper protection.
Rome was a very powerful empire, but eventually fell because of one thing, weak political leadership. Weak political leadership was the main reason why Rome fell and it was more of a chain because when there is bad leadership then there is bad military and more invaders. The invasions got more effective and hurt the empire a lot more than it should have at that time. First of all Rome went from a republic to a empire with all the power and rights from the people slowly slipping away to the all powerful emperors at the end. Emperors did not want to share any power with the people which was very bad because they only paid attention to power, for example how Julius Caesar get kill/assassinated on March 15, 44 BCE in Rome, Italy.
The civilization of ancient Rome was one time the mightiest on the planet. Yet it, like any other civilization, began as one small settlement. The Roman Empire suffered numerous complications in its final years. The late Roman empire was frequently invaded by several barbarian groups, most notably the Huns and Vandals.
They thought this because Rome was leaps and bounds ahead of others in military, political, economic, architectural, and technological aspects. But Rome was far from perfect, because of its split in 395 A.D. ancient Rome began falling apart. The things that made it great became its downfall. But there were many important factors that made Rome fall, but the most prominent were military, economic, and religious factors.
The Roman Empire was at its largest size when Trajan was in rule. It covered forty-nine modern countries in the world today, including Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Greece, and Austria (Cavazzi). The borders of this great Empire are the Rhine and Danube Rivers up in the north. The eastern border was the Euphrates River, Persian Gulf, and the city of Susa. The southern border was the Arabian Desert and the Sahara.
The Roman empire was one of the most powerful or the most powerful empire in ancient times. A portion of this can be credited to its location in an area with good geography and climate. However, once the empire was vast enough its geography varied quite a bit. It went from the moderate climate of northern Italy too much warmer climates in northern Africa. In Italy, the central part of the empire, stood the city of Rome.
There was no one single cause; it was many things happening at once, which caused the fall of Rome. The downfall happened with the army weakening, natural disasters and plagues rising, and leaders becoming corrupted all contributed to their fall. First, the army had become weaker when there were no more wars left. “Before the year 400 CE, foot soldiers wore breastplates and helmets.
The Roman Empire left a mark on history as one of the largest and most successful empires in history. How much territory did the Roman Empire rule over? At the Roman Empire’s pique, the Empire engulfed the entire Mediterranean and spread all across Western Europe and half of Great Britain. The Roman Empire was not taken likely by rival empires.
While the RomeEmpire become successful in its military conquest in expanding its territory and heightened its military power to the highest level, which transforms Rome from greatest "conquering people" to "greatest governing people" (Morey,1901), beneath it was a negative upshot. Romans morphed to become a highly greed and barbaric people on earth. In the end the consequences of these actions however, was painful enough which makes Rome bleeds as social unrest was uncontrollable, and I believe that her subjects weaken her as great empire. Rome was undisputedly the world's "greatest power," when all --if not--of once powerful empires on earth became her subjects and bent their knees in submission to her power.
The Germanic invaders finally ousted the last roman empire by 476 AD. The end of the Roman Empire finally happened. In conclusion, The three Major causes of the the Fall of Rome were Economic Problems, Socico-Politcal problems, and external invasions The Roman Empire finally fell in 476 AD.
