Everyday there are more people killing, more families being torn apart, more discrimination happening in the world. There are nations dropping bombs and children being killed by poisonous gasses. People die because they have nowhere to live and nothing to eat. Now people just care about making money, being famous, popular. We segregate others because they don 't think as we do. We lack understanding and fairness. We lack the most fundamental virtue any human can posses, love. And it might sound so cliché and worn out but we really need love in this world. We 've lost it and we need back, desperately. We need a real love that overcomes all evil, one that makes you better, an unconditional love. I know many people might not believe in the Bible or in God Himself, but there is a passage that explains exactly what kind of love I 'm referring to. I Corinthians 13: 4-8 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. True love makes you want to be better. Loving makes you be the best you can be for those you love. You want them to look up to you and see that you are strong, perseverant, hardworking, beautiful and funny even. Like the single father that tries his best to make his children laugh and gives them all he 's got even when he has to juggle between jobs to try to pay school, the house, food and the doctors. Or just like the son that tries his best to make his parents proud to call him theirs. And how could we forget? The spouse that always tries to look their best and still gets nervous whenever their lover looks into their eyes and tells them what they feel. And if we all aspire to be better, to be happy, wouldn 't we have a better world? Isn 't that what we want? A happy world sounds unreachable but it is possible if we give off love.
