Eugene Jacques Bullard had several qualities that made him successful. One quality was that he was persistent. In his early life, he did whatever he could to get to France and the theme continued through his entire life. He spent a part of his childhood , “...working at odd jobs to stay alive...” (para. 4) When he finally made it to Europe, he continued to work odd jobs to get by so he could reach Paris. During his time in the army, he was told that he “... could not get into aviation and become a pilot.” (para. 20) He did, in fact, become a pilot with the French Flying Corp. Bullard was also a loyal person. His love and loyal to his adopted nation and friends was what caused him to join the army. Bullard joined as soon as he could. He “... joined his fellow American expatriates in the French Foreign Legion on 9 October, his 19th birthday.” (para. 12) …show more content…

After his father was unjustly hurt, he “...tearfully left his... home in 1902 at the tender age of eight.” (para. 3) He left in search of a place where “...a man is accepted as a man regardless of the color of his skin.” (para. 3) In truth, Bullard was not an American hero. Though he was born in Georgia, he was a French Aviator. He was also “...severely wounded and received many medals for valor” in France, not America. He chose to leave America for France. After the war, “...America never recognized or realized the legacy of the brave and noble Corporal Eugene Bullard. But France never forgot.” (para.

Another reason why he didn’t join the war was because Woodhull was the only son of his parents, so if he died he couldn’t pass on his family name. In the middle of 1778, Woodhull frequently travelled to the British occupied New York.

As a seaman, he felt the ever-present danger of impressment into the British navy. As a laborer, he felt the competition from British troops, who often took part-time jobs during their off-duty hours and worked for lower wages. A fight between Boston ropemakers and three British soldiers on Friday, March 2, 1770 set the stage for a later confrontation. That following Monday night, tensions escalated when a soldier entered a pub to look for work, and instead found a group of angry seamen that included
To be taught respect he was punched in the face by every prisoner in the camp. He was forced to hold a wooden plank above his head and if he dropped it they would shoot him. Beaten, thirsty, hungry, these things never made Louis crack. He always put himself out there and never surrendered. When the war was finally over he returned home bruised.

Pierre Peladeau is a French Canadian man who built a multi-billion dollars media company with $1500 loan from his mother [1]. During his existence on earth, he has accomplished a lot of things such as giving millions to charities and visiting the sick in hospitals. Despite all the good things that Pierre Peladeau has done, I believe the bad actions that he made conquers and overcomes his good deeds. For instance, Pierre Peladeau was engaged in various disputes such as Anti-Semitic comments against the Jewish community, sexist statements towards business women, being a womanizer and an alcoholic. In my opinion Pierre Peladeau is not a good role model for business students.
