If you are going to extreme places, such as rainforest or you are going to hiking or doing other outdoor activities, we suggest you to prepare for a lightweight foldable rain jacket. Why rain jacket? Because rain jacket doesn’t need much space to be stored and you can easily fold it if the rain suddenly stops. Another option is raincoat or slicker. Same as rain jacket, raincoat is also foldable and easy to store. If you are travelling to a city and spend more time indoors rather than walking around the city, then opt for trench coat with a hood. A trench coat is a raincoat made of waterproof leather. However, if you don’t expect much rain there but you want to be prepared, you could choose packable poncho. Easy to fold, a poncho is a watertight material designed to keep the body dry from rain. The advantage of a poncho is that it can cover your backpack unlike raincoat or rain jacket. With a bigger size compared to raincoat, poncho can offer protection to your lower half as well as keeping your top half

My Kiowa Grandmother was taken from the book, The Way to Rainy Mountain by N. Scott Momaday. Momaday writes about his native tribe the Kiowa’s and grandmother because he wants to live it! Asides from his clothing, the man had two bags that were filled with bottles. The man seemed furious that it was raining and kept on mumbling things to himself. I was observing the man closely because I had seen him in the area before. The rain became harder and harder and as it did, the man kept moving back to avoid getting wetter. The rain continued to pour down harder for around 10 minutes and as soon it stopped the man began to make his way out of the plaza.
