The king of pop, Michael Jackson, has been known across the world by multiple generations. Michael Jackson, an American, was a best selling songwriter, dancer, and singer. Throughout his career, he had many successful hits and to this day, he is still well known. The accomplishments of Michael Jackson contributed to the final desegregation of popular music in the US. Also, it initiated a period of multiculturalism and integration that was emulated by succeeding artistic generations.
On August 29, 1958, Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana. Michael Jackson went to a school called Garnett Elementary School in Gary, Indiana. At the age of five, Michael Jackson began his career in singing. At the age of six, Michael Jackson had his first performance. On the now abandoned stage of the school, six-year-old Jackson performed the song "Climb Every Mountain" from "The Sound of Music" in 1963. His father had encouraged his career in pursuing music. Jackson was famous for pop, soul, and was influenced by the sounds of rock, funk, disco, gospel, hip-hop, and jazz music. Throughout the years, he went on tour, and his first tour date was August 16, 1997, in Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden. In Jackson’s lifetime he had won 13 Grammy Awards and 26 American Music Awards of which are among the 834 awards that he had achieved. He was also inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jackson also has a record of 39 Guinness World Records, including the title of the Most Successful Music Entertainer of All-Time. Michael Jackson had collaborated on several duets throughout his lifetime.
