Description The Lar Gibbon, more commonly known as the White Handed Gibbon, is the world 's smallest ape. It measures to 42.0 cm. and weighs 4.4 kg. But just because this ape is small doesn 't mean it can 't get around. The Gibbon has very long arms so it can climb trees effortlessly and run up to 35 miles an hour. The way the Gibbon swings is called “Brachiation” which saves energy. It also has a small fur coat all around its body except its face. Its fur comes in a few different colors like white, black, and brown. Habitat The White Handed Gibbon can be found in southeastern Asian rainforests, such as Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Laos. Crazy Horse I would like to meet Crazy Horse because he was Native American and I am Native American. He was also a great warrior and leader of the Lakota Sioux. Crazy Horse fought along Sitting Bull and other American Indian wars. Crazy Horse was an instrument in defeating George Custer.

Most of their movement includes them moving from one branch to the other. The reason why they climb fast from one tree to another is by the help of their tails. Howler monkeys have prehensile tails, or tails that can grip onto anything. According to National Zoo, ”Males measure 24 to 26 inches (60 to 65 centimeters) long with a 24 to 26 inch tail (60 to 65 centimeters).”
