Steven Hicks was a 19 year old last seen hitchhiking to a rock concert in Chippewa Lake Park when he was brutally murdered. The suspect was later found that he brought Hicks to his home, where he got him drunk, and upon Hicks trying to escape was when he was hit among the head with a ten pound dumbbell. Further investigation found that Hicks’ body was dismembered, having his bones crushed by a sledgehammer and scattered outside the house; also he left the flesh to be found by police underneath the house three years after the murder. This suspect would be later revealed as Jeffrey Dahmer. He then took him home, killed and dismembered his body, and then kept his skull. When he started killing a person a week in 1991, he had this insane idea of experimenting with his victims bodies Where he would inject things like hydrochloric acid and boiling water into their brains. Soon after people in his apartment building started noticing loud noises and horrible smells coming from Dahmer's apartment. The day he was arrested he tried to murder Tracy Edwards, by luring her into the bedroom with a knife. She would then escape through the fire escape where she would alert the police.

Lionel Dahmer received a doctorate in analytical chemistry in 1966 which meant that he did not have much time to pay attention to Jeffrey. Not only were they both controlling and strong but Joyce was a neurotic. Their marriage was rocky as the years went on which meant that it became a habit for Jeffrey to see and hear his parents argue.

Jeffrey Dahmer was a notorious serial killer who liked to pick up men in bars telling them he was a photographer and he wanted to take their picture. After the photo session, Jeffrey drugged the young boy and left him alone in the apartment while h went out for beer. The young boy escaped, running out into the street, prompting a concerned neighbor to call the police. When they arrived, Dahmer convinced them that the boy was his 19 year old lover.
The term “serial killer” is defined as someone who commits more than three murders over a period that spans more than one month. Most of the time, these murders are to benefit their psyche. These people are said to bring their victims to the same location and use the same kind of killing for each. Some common traits of a potential serial killer may include alcohol and substance abuse, abuse during childhood, growing up lonely and isolated, fantasizing about things, or physical injuries.
