How would the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare be without Mercutio’s character stealing the show? Mercutio’s character was one of the most admired characters in the play. Mercutio was a man of many different characteristics. Some of them good, and some of them not so good, One of his characteristics, unfortunately caused his death. Keep reading to learn more about Mercutio and his multi faceted personality.

Mercutio’s character is very loyal, devoted, funny, not only.. But also witty. Mercutio and Romeo are best friends. Although Mercutio is the exact opposite of Romeo. Mercutio is very humorous and Romeo is very serious. Romeo believes in love and takes it very seriously, Mercutio on the other hand doesn’t believe in love and only looks at it as a sexual activity. Mercutio stays loyal to Romeo, he encouraged him to find another woman to make him happy. Mercutio even knows when Romeo needs to talk. In Act 2 Scene 1 Mercutio tells Benvolio to stop looking for him, he doesn’t wanna talk, and he went home to bed. 534.
