I enjoy reading your post. I agree with you Osama Bin Laden was educated, dedicated to his cause and he did not show no remorse for the deaths of 2,996 people including the 19 hijackers and 2,977 victims. I personally feel that he should have been brought back to America to be charge for the deaths of all this innocent people and victims. He did put this amazing
on March 10, 1957, was the “17th of more than 50 children of Muhammad,” (“Bin Laden, Osama” 2) who was a Yemeni laborer and later became Saudi Arabia’s wealthiest construction contractor. His father died in a plane crash in 1968 and it is estimate that he inherited a fortune of about $20 million and 300 million. The Soviet Union moved into Afghanistan on December 1979 and “bin Laden joined the Mujahedin, the Afghan resistance movement” (“Bin Laden, Osama” 3). Surprisingly, the United States and the bin Laden fought on the same side against the Soviet Union by supplying them with supplies, such as weapons and money. “In the mid-1980s he confounded Makhtab al Khidamat (MAK),” (“Bin Laden, Osama” 2) which later becomes the model for al-Qaeda. The Soviet Union pulled out of Afghanistan in 1989 and so, bin Laden returned to Saudi Arabia and “took in active role in opposing the monarchy” (“Bin Laden, Osama” 4). He hated the fact that the kingdom joined the Persian Gulf War against Iraq thus allowing U.S troops on the Arabian Peninsula. After the war, he fled to Sudan, where he established many terrorist camps. This point in history is what fueled Bin Laden to hate the United States.
The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda. The attacks took the lives of 2,996 innocent people, injured nearly 6,000 people, and caused at least $10 billion in infracture and property damage. These attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, will forever be remebered as one of the most horrific days for so many people around this world.
Osama Bin Laden was an anti-American for a long time. When Muslims were attacked in Somalia, Westerners gave support, enraging Bin Laden. Many members of Al-Qaeda found the United State’s support of Israel infuriating. Osama Bin Laden believed that Islam is the superior religion. At 8:46, on the morning of September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight
John Brown, some say that he is a cold blooded killer. Others say he is a hero to the nation. And he is a hero to the nation John Brown was a man who believed in his own personal beliefs. His beliefs were that every man is equal. And that slavery was wrong and he felt like he was meant to be the one to stop slavery in its tracks. And he had a idea how to but, it just got executed wrong because speeches wouldn't heal the broken nation. John Brown knew what was wrong and what was right at a young age. He knew he could stop slavery so he went for it. And he treated it just the people still do in the modern world. He killed people who killed slaves he kidnapped people who kidnaped slaves he abused people who abused slaves.
I believe the bail conditions that Omar Khadr received were fair conditions, but the Canadian government should issue and apology to Omar Khadr for contributing to the violation of his rights. Although I believe that Omar Khadr was guilty of the 5 war crime charges against him because of his confession, he should have had a fair trial regarding his crimes. One of the charges was for the murder of Christopher Speer, a U.S. soldier, during the battle in Afghanistan. In an interview with the National Post, Khadr explained the situation and how he felt before throwing the grenade. “I was thinking, ‘What should I do…?’ I didn’t know what to do. So I thought, I’m just going to throw this grenade and maybe just scare them away” (National Post). This proves that he acted under pressure.
You may be unaware of how far the event goes back in history, with causes dating back to the 1980’s. Osama Bin Laden had great significance in the causes and events leading up to this day. Bin Laden was the founder of the terrorist organization named al-Qaeda, an organization that has been claimed as the culprits of 9/11.
Terrorist campaigns were climbing in decades prior to 9/11. A group of terrorists attacked New York’s World Trade Center on February 26, 1993. The aim of this attack was to drive two bomb loaded trucks into the basement of a building to bring down both of the towers of the World Trade Center. The mission was not accomplished, but the attack did kill six people. The organizer of this attack was Ramzi Yousef, whose uncle went on to be the operational commander of the attack at the World Trade Center on 9/11. In 1997, bin Laden declared war against the United States, four years after the first Trade Center bombing. During this time, bin Laden was plotting his next attack to kill thousands of innocent Americans. In 1998, al-Qaeda suicide bombers drove truck bombs toward the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. More than 200 people were killed in this attack. All of these events demonstrated that al-Qaeda could carry out terrifying attacks thousands of miles away from its base in Afghanistan. Al- qaeda’s leaders did not care about their gruesome actions. In their minds, God was on their side so they could do no wrong. Many people to this day still question our government about the 9/11 attacks and why someone did not take action before it got to this point. Many ask the question “Did the government cover up its previous knowledge about
It was a crisp fall day, not too cold, not too hot. It was September 11, 2001. The bright morning sun lit a cloudless blue sky, and birds chirped sweetly in their own beautiful way. All this changed in an instant. On this horrific day in history, thousands of innocent people lost their lives. Nineteen terrorists from a group called Al-Qaeda executed a plan under the plotting of Osama Bin Laden. This plan had possibly been in the process of making for a long time. On 9/11 the terrorists hijacked four planes, intending to do a lot harm to America they killed thousands of people. Two planes were flown into New York’s Twin Towers which were a symbol of prosperity. The third plane was deliberately flown into the Pentagon. The fourth plane had crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. In total about 3,000 people lost their lives. These terrorists claimed to do this because of the presence of US troops in the Middle East. September 11, 2001 was an event that not only impacted the nation, but it impacted many innocent individuals as well.
“I understand what they felt in Oklahoma City’, he said. ‘I have no sympathy for them’. (Michel)” Timothy J. McVeigh is accused of the worst act of domestic terror in American history. With six years on trial, McVeigh was finally executed. Many Americans question if McVeigh should’ve been sentenced to life in prison or death. The final say was that Timothy McVeigh should get sentenced to the death penalty.
Osama Bin Laden was an extremely dangerous terrorist. Osama wanted to do whatever it took to reach his goal. He wanted the United states to leave the Islamic holy land, and he would do whatever it took. So, he planned numerous attacks not only on the United States, but other nations as well. In a result of those attacks, a countless number of people died or became wounded. Many of these attacks happened during 1998-2011. Even though he didn’t execute
Osama Bin Laden is the leader of al-Qaeda, the Islamic terrorist group that attacked the U.S. On February 23, 1998, Laden created the rule for all
John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s assassination was just because he attempted to end the Vietnam war , restructure the CIA. My counter argument is that it was unjust because after he was out of office, he stay focused on political issues.
The assassination of Osama Bin Laden occurred due to cultural reason; however, it was justified. Osama Bin Laden discriminated against americans, he caused one of the most horrific terrorist attack in american history which is 911 and he killed up to 2977 people in one day. Critics, however, some may argue that the assassination was unjustified, due to the Persian Gulf war also known as Operation Desert Shield where american troops invaded Saudi Arabia and killed over a 1000 civilians and injured even more this is a valid reason why Osama Bin Laden would have a
On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, a terrible tragedy occurred, resulting in the twin towers of the World Trade Center to collapse. The towers were stormed by two Islamic planes that were participating in a suicide attack and were burned down in daylight. This attack was believed to be carried out by an Islamic terrorist group that goes by the name of al-Qaeda. During this massacre, there were over 3000 casualties and a huge number of first responders suffered irreversible health complications.
