(Bradbury 1). The reason this thought came about was because of the horrible things Ralph did to him when they were twelve. These memories were so vivid that the only seemingly just thing to do was to kill Ralph. Doug was not sure why it took so long to seek revenge and it had Doug questioning, “Why it hadn't come to [him] when [he] was thirty or forty”
Although Victor very well fits the role of a tragic hero with a fatal flaw, he also fits the role of a hero. He sacrifices years of his life to work towards a goal that would forever change the world. Victor creates this creature not knowing what it will turn out as, risking his own life for the science world. It is also very heroic of Victor to go through the process of bringing something to life because it was something no one had attempted before. Therefore, Victor is the most capable and best epitome of an epic hero.
There have been heroes in stories ever since the beginning of time. We tell the tale of great people who suffer and persevere through challenges. But there is a hero different to other ones: the cunning Greek hero Odysseus. Unlike other heroes, he relies on his wits to overcome the challenges rather than strength. Choices that Odysseus makes is what sets him apart from other heroes.

Walt didn't make the black market in meth, He just exploited it. So, here we can say that Walt is considered to be a villain as he participated in evil actions such as cooking meth, but on the other hand one could recognize him as an anti-hero as his main objective was to sort out his medications fees and keep his family from debts. Never the less, Walt alone infiltrated himself into four different drug distribution groups (krazy8, tuco, fring, jack) and destroyed all their members. Because of his actions a huge cartel, fully operational for probably thirty years, is now wiped out from Earth. In total, directly and indirectly, he completely eradicated five gang groups which distributed drugs.
Heroes are not always modest. In the beginning of Odysseus’s story when he is talking to the cyclops he says: “his words were designed to fool me, but Failed. I was too wise for that, and answered him with cunning words”(page32 paragraph 9). Although Odysseus was wise and intelligent, he still was not modest in his forthright expression on his views of himself. Moreso, heroes are not timid.
Even though Odysseus is not a great person and is not he does show some characteristics of being an epic. The Odyssey and Beowulf compare and contrast quite nicely since they are both old and have some of the same principles. You can see many qualities of an epic in both of these adventures, but one stands out far greater than the other. In The Odyssey the main character is not a national hero or good person which is a big part of being an epic.
