Since the beginning of time man has continually evolved improving both self and technology around him. there has many individuals who has dedicated their lives to bring forth mankind out of the stone age to the electric cars we drive today. Greats such as Henry Ford, the Wright brothers, Eli Whitney, George Washington Carver and Alexander Graham Bell who idea grew to the cell phones we use today, are just a few who made massive contributions to the world we live in now. Unfortunately, not every American Iconic inventor should be renowned as America great. In this Research paper I will show the information taught in schools about Thomas Edison is inaccurate. He was the last of the seven children of Samuel and Nancy Edison. At an early age Thomas developed scarlet fever along with an ear infections which left him partially deaf in both ears. His handicap didn't detour his appetite for success. At age 12 he started publishing his own news paper and started to customers along the railway. By age 22 in 1869, Thomas had received 40,000 which is equivalent to 300,000 today for first invention of simultaneous stock ticker updater. After receiving such a large sum, Thomas decided to devote all of his money, time and interest in starting a laboratory workshop in Menlo , New Jersey in 1875. Thomas Edison new laboratory would be forever known as the place where he created the electric light bulb, movie camera, microphone, mimeograph, electric chair, wax paper and over a1,000 other patented ideas he would be known for inventing. Thomas first assignment was offered by Western Union, to improve on the newly introduced telephone by Alexander Graham Bell. Thomas workshop grew to employ as many as more 200 machinists, scientists, craftsmen, and laborers. At the height of his success he employed more than 5000 people dedicated to
