John Vinnicum Morse, was the brother of Andrew Borden’s first wife, John showed up on a random visit the night before the murders and stayed the night in the Borden house (Taylor). John was the brother of Andrews first wife, who passed away, John was questioned but never followed up with. The Borden maid was an illegal immigrant from Ireland and apparently had a dark past."She did not stay in the house during the night following the murders, but did come back on Friday night to her third-floor room. On Saturday, she left the house, never to return” (Taylor). Bridget had been in the Borden home since 1889 but the girls still called her the wrong name, the girls liked Bridget or Maggie as they called her but ever payed much attention to her. People say that Andrew was very harsh, many people thought it was suspicious that she left Saturday and never returned. Andrew Borden rented out many of his properties to people. The two sisters helped to manage the rental properties owned by Andrew Borden ( Linder). When the search first started the authorities checked Lizzie’s hands and clothes and found no blood or evidence. “Blood was still seeping from the wounds and had been splashed onto the wall above the sofa, the floor and on a picture hanging on the wall”(Taylor). This proves that there is no way that the blood wouldn't have gotten on the killer, they checked Lizzie when they arrived to the scene since she was the only one at the house at the time and she had to blood on her. The suspected murder weapon had no trace of blood on or around it. Lizzie’s representative said, there is not a spot of blood, there is not a weapon that they have connected with her in any way, shape or fashion. They did not find any blood or evidence on the suspected murder weapon. The authorities weren't even 100% sure that it was the actual murder weapon. They had no proof that the Ax was the Murder weapon. Lizzie’s defendant said, there is not one particle of direct evidence in this case from beginning to end against Lizzie A. Borden (Linder). There is not a spot of blood, there is not a weapon that they have connected with her in any way, shape or fashion. They had no proof that lead the suspected murder weapon to Lizzie. On August 11 she was served a warrant of arrest and jailed. Then the grand jury indicted her to the murders. Lizzie’s trial was located in New Bedford the following June. They didn’t claim the axe was the murder weapon. They did not find any clothing containing blood from the murder.
Evidence points to the fact that Lizzie Borden, a normal woman who people thought was not capable of such a crime, is guilty. Lizzie Borden was guilty because, besides the maid, she was the only person in the house. She also had a motive, a motive to get her wealthy father’s money. It could only be her. She was the only one who would have the motive and would have done the crime.
As a result of all this evidence Lizzie may have been
This means the murder either had to break in and escape twice, or he had to stay in the house for an hour. This makes the possibility of another murderer, not being Lizzie or Bridget, nearly
Lizzie Borden is guilty of the murder of her parents. For example, “Lizzie had no alibis other than her own statements and unfortunately for her, her statements changed each time she made one…”(45). Police and witnesses believe she was just trying to cover for someone or she was just put under pressure when asked for an alibi and had to come up with a story in the spur of the moment. However, if Lizzie were innocent she wouldn’t have changed her story.

A local drug store owner had said that the day before the murders Lizzie had tried to buy a poison from the store and he would not allow her, since back in that day that is how women would kill people. Lizzie during the time of her trial was found burning a dress that she claimed had a paint stain on it. Lizzie had feminists on her side saying that she was being prosecuted for no reason. Smith's drug store in Fall River, told police that Lizzie visited the store the day before the murder and attempted to purchase prussic acid, a deadly poison. A story in the Boston Daily Globe reported rumors that "Lizzie and her stepmother never got along together peacefully, and that for a considerable time back they have not spoken," but noted also that family members insisted relations between the two women were quite normal.” At this point the police knew that the murder must have been committed by someone who lived in the Borden’s household, but they couldn’t say who because the lack of blood anywhere, except on the victims bodies and the police were unable to identify the weapon used.

There is not a spot of blood, there is not a weapon they have connected with her in any way, shape or fashion.” Some people still believed she was guilty and never accepted her in the community.
Even though the two girls were never close with Abby Borden they began to call her their mother. Andrew Borden excelled in manufacturing and real estate, from this they became one of the most wealthy families in all of Fall River. All was well untill issues arose between the girls and their
There were lots of loose ends and unsolved questions. I am here to convince you that Lizzie did not do it and, that she is innocent. Firstly, imagine being accused of killing your parents. How would that make you feel?
For some reason she went to a doctor even though Andrew was very obviously already dead. After the police and investigators got there, they looked everywhere for evidence but found nothing. They had to do a routine blood check on Lizzie's hands and clothes just because she was on the property at the time of the killing. They didn't find one bit of blood on Lizzie's hands or clothes. If she did it wouldn't there be just a little bit of blood, maybe underneath her nails that she couldn't
