One of those reasons is that they are longtime enemies and are willing to do anything for each other. Another reason is he knows his name is a problem to Juliet and he wants to fix it but since he is a Montague he really can't so he kills himself just to prove how much he loves her. In this sense, Juliet's love works against her because the feud could not just die
